Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the coffee maker to remove any manufacturing residues.

  1. Wash the glass carafe, reusable filter, and filter basket holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  2. Fill the water tank with clean water up to the 1.5L mark.
  3. Place the empty filter basket with the reusable filter into its holder.
  4. Place the empty carafe on the heating plate.
  5. Plug the coffee maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
  6. Press the power button to start a brewing cycle with only water. Allow the cycle to complete.
  7. Discard the water from the carafe. Repeat this process 2-3 times.
  8. Your coffee maker is now ready for use.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew coffee:

  1. Fill Water Tank: Open the lid and fill the water tank with fresh, cold water. Use the measuring scale on the carafe to determine the desired amount of coffee. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line (1.5L). The transparent window will show the water level.
  2. Add Coffee Grounds: Place the reusable filter into the filter basket holder. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup (150ml). Adjust to your taste.
  3. Position Carafe: Ensure the glass carafe is correctly placed on the heating plate.
  4. Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a grounded electrical outlet. Press the power button. The blue LED light will illuminate, indicating that the brewing process has started.
  5. Brewing Cycle: The coffee maker will automatically brew the coffee. The anti-drip function allows you to temporarily remove the carafe during brewing to pour a cup, but it is recommended to wait until the full cycle is complete for optimal flavor.
  6. Keep Warm: Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the 'keep warm' function, maintaining the coffee's temperature for up to 40 minutes. The blue LED light will remain on.
  7. Serve: Carefully remove the carafe from the heating plate and pour your coffee.
  8. Turn Off: After serving or when the 'keep warm' cycle is finished, press the power button again to turn off the appliance. Unplug the coffee maker from the outlet.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.

Daily Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Remove the glass carafe, reusable filter, and filter basket holder. Discard used coffee grounds.
  3. Wash the carafe, reusable filter, and filter basket holder in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are generally dishwasher-safe on the top rack, but hand washing is recommended for longevity.
  4. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  5. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.

Descaling (Every 2-4 Weeks, depending on water hardness)

Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descaling helps remove these deposits.

  1. Prepare a descaling solution: Mix white vinegar and water in a 1:2 ratio (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). For a 1.5L capacity, use approximately 500ml vinegar and 1000ml water.
  2. Pour the solution into the water tank.
  3. Place the empty carafe on the heating plate.
  4. Press the power button to start a brewing cycle. Allow half of the solution to brew through, then turn off the coffee maker and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Turn the coffee maker back on and allow the remaining solution to brew through.
  6. Discard the solution from the carafe.
  7. Rinse the coffee maker by running 2-3 full cycles with clean, fresh water to remove any vinegar residue.
