Product Overview
The EAST OAK 50,000 BTU Patio Heater (Model UR50BK2) is designed to provide powerful and efficient outdoor heating. Featuring a double-layer stainless steel burner, a stable conical barrel design, and a triple protection system, this heater ensures comfort and safety for your outdoor spaces.

Setup and Assembly
Assembly of the EAST OAK Patio Heater is designed to be straightforward, typically completed within 30 minutes by following the instructions. Ensure all protective layers are removed from components before assembly.
Assembly Steps:
- Base Assembly: Attach the wheel assembly to the base using the provided M8 flange nuts and M8x16 bolts. Ensure the wheel assembly is parallel to the base and tighten the bolts.
- Anchoring Arms: Attach the three anchoring arms to the base using six M6 and six M6x10 bolts.
- Support Brackets: Mount the three support brackets using three M8x16 bolts. Place the bracket with the belt in the middle.
- Lower Post: Place the lower post on the support brackets.
- Regulator Insertion: Insert the regulator from the top end of the upper post. The sticker side should be connected to the burner assembly.
- Burner Assembly: Mount the burner assembly on the upper post with the four stainless steel bolts.
- Post Connection: Insert the regulator from the top end of the lower post. Use four post bolts to secure the two posts together.
- Tank Housing: Slide the tank housing down towards the base.
- Reflector Assembly: Attach the six reflector panels to the center reflector using six M6x10 screws and six cap nuts. Install three washers and three spacers on top of the burner assembly. Place three more washers over the threaded end of the spacer. Attach the reflector assembly to the top using three washers and three wing nuts to secure.
- Propane Tank Connection: Raise the tank housing and lock it with the top flange nuts. Place a 20 lb propane gas tank (not included) on top of the base. Use the belt to secure the gas canister. Attach the regulator to the cylinder and tighten connections by hand, ensuring it is fastened securely. Lower the tank housing.

Base Stability:
The conical barrel design and included water tank (up to 26.45 lbs) enhance the product's wind-resistant performance. For additional stability, especially on cement or wood ground unsuitable for nails, expansion screws (not included) can be used to secure the unit to the ground.

Operating Instructions
The heater features an easy one-touch ignition system and an adjustable control knob for heat output.
Ignition Procedure:
- Ensure the control knob is in the 'OFF' position.
- Fully open the gas valve on the propane tank by turning it counter-clockwise.
- After connecting a new tank, allow the pipeline to purge for at least one minute before attempting to light the heater.
- Press and turn the variable control knob to the 'ON' position (counter-clockwise 90 degrees) and hold for 3-5 seconds.
- While holding down the control knob, press the igniter button several times until the flame ignites.
- Continue to hold the knob for about 30 seconds and then release.
- If the flame does not light or goes out, repeat steps 4-6.
- Wait at least 5 minutes before attempting to relight the heater.

Adjusting Heat:
Once ignited, the adjustable control knob allows you to regulate the heat output from low to high.
Safety Protection System:
- Tilt Protection: The system will automatically extinguish the flame if the heater is tilted more than 45 degrees.
- Flame-Out Protection: If the flame accidentally goes out, the system will automatically shut off the gas supply.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your patio heater.
- Cleaning: Regularly inspect and clean the burner assembly and gas jet nozzle to prevent blockages (e.g., from insects or debris).
- Storage: When not in use, especially during rainy weather or off-season, it is highly recommended to use a protective cover to shield the heater from elements and prevent rust.
- Inspection: Periodically check all connections and components for any signs of wear, damage, or leaks.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your patio heater, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Heater Fails to Ignite:
- Ensure the propane tank valve is fully open.
- Check if the propane tank is empty and replace if necessary.
- Verify that the regulator is securely connected to the cylinder.
- Allow sufficient time for the gas line to purge after connecting a new tank.
- Ensure the control knob is pressed and held down while pressing the igniter.
- Flame Goes Out During Operation:
- The tilt protection system may have activated if the heater was tilted.
- The flame-out protection system may have activated due to a sudden gust of wind or low gas pressure.
- Check the propane tank level.
- Low Heat Output:
- Ensure the control knob is set to the desired heat level (High).
- Check the propane tank for low fuel.
