5. Setup

5.1 Mounting the Monitor

The ATEM173S can be mounted using the included U-shape bracket or a VESA-compatible mount.

  • U-shape Bracket: Attach the U-shape bracket to the sides of the monitor using the provided screws. This allows for desktop placement or stand mounting.
  • VESA Mount: The monitor supports VESA standard mounting for wall or arm installations. Ensure the mount can support the monitor's weight.

5.2 Connecting Power

Connect the monitor to a power source using one of the following methods:

  • AC Power: Connect the included power adapter to the DC 12V input port on the rear panel and plug it into a wall outlet.
  • V-mount Battery: Attach a compatible V-mount battery to the V-mount battery plate on the rear of the monitor.

5.3 Video Input Connections

The monitor supports both SDI and HDMI video inputs.

  • SDI Input: Connect up to four 3G-SDI sources to the SDI IN 1-4 ports using SDI cables.
  • HDMI Input: Connect an HDMI source to the HDMI IN port using an HDMI cable.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

Press the power button on the front panel to turn the monitor on or off.

The monitor supports UMD (Under Monitor Display) using TSL 3.1/4.0 protocol.

  • Select TSL address from 0-126.
  • Displays up to 16 characters.

7. Maintenance

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ATEM173S monitor, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power:
    • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the monitor and a working power outlet.
    • If using a V-mount battery, check that it is properly attached and charged.
  • No Video Signal:
    • Verify that the video source (camera, switcher) is powered on and outputting a signal.
    • Check that the SDI or HDMI cable is securely connected to both the source and the monitor.
    • Ensure the correct input source is selected on the monitor (SDI 1-4 or HDMI).
