5. Installation

5.1 Mounting the Switch

The switch requires a mounting hole of 1.18 inches (30mm) in diameter. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and free of obstructions. Secure the switch using the provided nut.

5.2 Wiring the Switch

The switch comes with a wire connector socket to facilitate easy wiring. This eliminates the need for soldering directly to the terminals, preventing potential damage from heat and allowing for quick replacement if needed.

Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper connection. The default configuration is 1NO1NC (SPDT).

Important: Ensure the current does not exceed 5 Amps to prevent overheating and damage to the switch.

5.3 Expanding to 2NO2NC (DPDT) Configuration

The switch is supplied with a default 1NO1NC configuration. To achieve a 2NO2NC (DPDT) configuration, you can manually add the provided spare contact. Follow these steps:

1. Carefully remove the empty shell from the switch mechanism.
2. Install the spare 1NO1NC contact into the designated slot.
3. Ensure the contacts are securely seated.

6. Operation

The ZJWZJH Push Button Switch operates as a momentary switch. This means:

• When the button is pressed and held, the switch is ON, and the LED indicator will illuminate (if wired).
• When the button is released, the switch automatically resets to OFF, and the LED indicator will turn off.

7. Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Wipe the stainless steel surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or seals.
• Environmental Protection: While the switch is IP67 rated for splash resistance, it is not designed for prolonged submersion in water. Ensure proper sealing during installation in wet environments.
• Current Limits: Adhere strictly to the maximum current rating of 5 Amps. Exceeding this limit can cause the switch to overheat and fail.

8. Troubleshooting

• Switch Not Activating:
  • Verify all wiring connections are secure and correct according to the diagram.
  • Check the power source for adequate voltage and current.
  • Ensure the load connected to the switch is functioning correctly.
• LED Indicator Not Illuminating:
  • Confirm the LED is receiving the correct 12V AC/DC power.
  • Check the polarity of the LED connections if applicable (though many LEDs are tolerant of AC/DC).
  • Inspect the LED for any visible damage.
• Switch Overheating:
  • Immediately disconnect power.
  • Check if the current flowing through the switch exceeds the 5 Amp rating. Reduce the load if necessary.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the switch if it's in an enclosed space.
• Difficulty Converting to 2NO2NC:
  • Ensure the empty shell is fully removed before attempting to insert the spare contact.
  • Align the spare contact correctly with the switch mechanism. Do not force it.
