Introduction

The DUCLUS Light Box Photography is a portable and versatile photo studio designed to help you capture high-quality product images. Featuring integrated dimmable LED lighting and multiple backdrops, it provides an optimal environment for professional-looking photography. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new light box.

What's in the Box

Please ensure all the following items are included in your package:

• 1 x 16 inch Light Box
• 6 x PVC Backdrops (various colors)
• 2 x Paper Backdrops (black and white)
• 2 x Diffuser Cloth

Specifications

Setup

Setting up your DUCLUS Light Box is quick and easy, typically taking only 5 seconds.

1. Unfold the Box: Lay the folded light box flat and unfold it into its cubic shape. The internal reflective material will automatically form the walls.
2. Secure the Back Panel: Push the solid back panel into place to ensure the box maintains its structure.
3. Connect Power: Locate the USB cable attached to the light box. Plug the USB-A end into a compatible power source (e.g., USB wall adapter, power bank, computer USB port).
4. Adjust Lighting: Use the inline controller on the USB cable to turn the LED lights ON/OFF and adjust the brightness to one of the 10 available levels.
5. Insert Backdrop: Choose your desired backdrop (PVC or paper) and slide it into the designated slots at the top and bottom of the back wall. Ensure it lays smoothly.
6. Attach Diffuser (Optional): For softer, more diffused lighting and to minimize glare, attach one of the diffuser cloths to the velcro strips located inside the top of the light box, directly below the LED ring.

Operating Your Light Box

Lighting Control

The integrated 160 LED lights offer 10 levels of dimmable brightness. Use the inline controller on the USB cable to cycle through brightness settings to achieve your desired illumination. The 5500K natural daylight and 97+ CRI ensure accurate color representation of your products.

Backdrop Usage

Your light box comes with 6 PVC backdrops and 2 paper backdrops. PVC backdrops are waterproof and wrinkle-resistant, ideal for reflective surfaces. Paper backdrops are matte, reducing reflection and highlighting product outlines and details. Simply slide them into the designated slots.

Diffuser Cloth

The two included diffuser cloths are designed to soften the light from the LED ring, minimizing harsh shadows and glare. Attach them to the velcro strips inside the top of the light box for a more even and professional light distribution.

Multi-Angle Shooting

The light box supports both frontal and overhead shooting. The front panel has a dedicated photographic window that can be opened or closed. For overhead shots, use the hole in the top of the light box, which is also compatible with the diffuser cloth.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: The PVC backdrops are waterproof and can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. For the Oxford cloth exterior of the light box, use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe away any dust or dirt. Avoid harsh chemicals.
• Storage: When not in use, fold the light box flat and store it in the provided tote bag to protect it from dust and damage. Store backdrops flat to prevent creasing.

Troubleshooting

• Lights Not Turning On:
  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the light box and a functioning power source.
  • Try a different USB port or power adapter.
  • Check the inline controller for any damage or ensure it's set to ON.
• Uneven Lighting/Harsh Shadows:
  • Ensure the diffuser cloth is properly installed.
  • Adjust the brightness levels using the inline controller.
  • Reposition the product inside the light box to optimize light distribution.
• Backdrops Not Lying Flat:
  • Ensure backdrops are correctly inserted into the top and bottom slots.
  • For paper backdrops, gently roll them in the opposite direction of any curl before insertion.
