3. Setup Guide

3.1 App Installation

The Hawkray camera operates with the VICO Home app. Download the app from your device's app store (Google Play for Android or Apple App Store for iOS).

  1. Search for "VICO Home" in your app store.
  2. Download and install the app.
  3. Register a new account or log in if you already have one.

3.2 Wi-Fi Connection

Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.

  1. Power on the camera.
  2. Open the VICO Home app and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device.
  3. Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  4. Scan the QR code generated by the app with the camera lens.
  5. Wait for the camera to connect to the Wi-Fi network.

3.3 Mounting the Camera and Solar Panel

Choose a suitable location for installation, ensuring the solar panel receives adequate sunlight and the camera has a clear view of the desired monitoring area.

  1. Mark the drilling points on the wall using the mounting bracket as a template.
  2. Drill holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.
  3. Secure the camera mounting bracket to the wall with screws.
  4. Attach the camera to the bracket.
  5. Mount the solar panel in a location that maximizes sun exposure throughout the day.
  6. Connect the solar panel cable to the camera's charging port.
