3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charging

  1. Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the radio.
  2. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the radio and the other end to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The battery status indicator on the LCD screen will show charging progress. A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours.
  4. Disconnect the charging cable once fully charged.

3.2 Connecting Earphones

The earphones serve as the antenna for the radio. Ensure they are properly connected for optimal reception.

  1. Insert the 3.5mm earphone jack firmly into the earphone port on the radio.
  2. Extend the earphone cable as much as possible to improve signal reception.

3.3 Attaching the Lanyard

Thread the provided lanyard through the designated loop on the radio for secure carrying.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the Power/Mode (ⓘ/M) button to turn the radio on or off.

4.2 Band Selection (AM/FM)

While the radio is on, short press the Power/Mode (ⓘ/M) button to switch between AM and FM bands.

4.3 Tuning for Stations

There are two methods for tuning:

  • Automatic Scan: Short press the Search (🔍) button. The radio will automatically scan for available stations and save them to preset memory locations.
  • Manual Tuning: Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) buttons to fine-tune the frequency step by step. Press and hold these buttons to quickly scan for the next strong station.

4.4 Volume Control

Use the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons to adjust the listening volume.

4.5 Key Lock Function

To prevent accidental button presses, activate the key lock. Press and hold the Lock/Sleep Timer (🔒/⏰) button until the lock icon appears on the display. Repeat the action to unlock.

4.6 Sleep Timer

To set a sleep timer, short press the Lock/Sleep Timer (🔒/⏰) button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep times (10-90 minutes). The radio will automatically turn off after the selected duration.

4.7 Backlight

The LCD display features a soft orange backlight for visibility in dark environments. The backlight activates automatically with button presses and will turn off after a short period of inactivity to conserve battery.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents, as these may damage the surface or internal components.

5.2 Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the radio regularly, even if not in frequent use.
  • Store the radio in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
