1. Product Overview

3. Installation Guide

The iSpring FUS15S filter is part of the US15/US15S series, designed for under-sink installation. Ensure the space under your sink is clean and clear before starting.

Tools and Parts List:

Before you begin, ensure all parts are included in your package and have the following tools ready:

• Filter Housing (filter pre-installed)
• Housing Wrench
• Mounting Kit
• 1/2" to 3/8" Adapter (if needed)
• Plumber's Tape
• SS Braided Hoses
• Lubricant Grease
• Adjustable Wrench
• Towel/Bucket

The system fits common 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch NPT connections. A convert fitting may be needed if you have a different size connection.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Area: Clean out the space under the sink where the filter system will be installed.
2. Turn Off Water Supply: Turn off the cold-water supply valve under your sink. Open the kitchen faucet to release any remaining water and pressure in the line.
3. Disconnect Faucet Line: Remove the existing faucet cold-water supply line from the angle valve. Be prepared to catch any residual water with a towel.
4. Connect Inlet Hose to System: Apply lubricant to the quick connect stem of the 1/2 inch female thread inlet hose. Insert it into the system's water inlet connector (marked 'IN'). Secure the connection by inserting a locking clip.
5. Connect Outlet Hose to System: Apply lubricant to the quick connect stem of the 3/8 inch male thread outlet hose. Insert it into the system's water outlet connector (marked 'OUT'). Secure the connection by inserting a locking clip.
6. Connect System to Angle Valve: Connect the 1/2 inch female hose (from the system's inlet) to the angle valve. If your angle valve is 3/8 inch, add the included 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch converter to the connection. Use plumber's tape if needed for a secure seal.
7. Connect System to Faucet: Connect the 3/8 inch male hose (from the system's outlet) to the faucet cold-water supply line. If your faucet supply line is 1/2 inch, add the included 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch converter to the connection. Use plumber's tape if needed.
8. Restore Water Supply & Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the cold water supply valve. Check all connections for leaks.
9. Flush the System: Run cold water from the faucet for at least 5 minutes to flush the system. This removes any carbon fines and air from the filter. Turn off the faucet when finished.

Note on Mounting: Mounting the system to the wall is not required. However, if you choose to mount it, use the included mounting stencil to set the screws. Ensure the system is mounted at least 2 inches above the ground for easier access during future filter replacements.

4. Operating Instructions

Once installed and flushed, your iSpring FUS15S filter system is ready for use. Simply open your cold water faucet to enjoy filtered water for drinking, cooking, and other uses.

5. Maintenance (Filter Replacement)

For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the iSpring FUS15S filter every 12 months (or approximately 1 year) when used with municipal water. Actual replacement frequency may vary based on water quality and usage.

Filter Replacement Steps:

1. Turn Off Water Supply: Turn off the cold-water supply valve under your sink. Open the kitchen faucet to release any remaining water and pressure in the line.
2. Detach Filter Housing: Twist the filter housing clockwise to detach it from the machine head. Be prepared to catch any residual water with a towel.
3. Remove Housing Cap: Use the included housing cap wrench to remove the housing cap by turning it counterclockwise.
4. Dispose of Old Filter: Take out and dispose of the expired filter cartridge.
5. Insert New Filter: Ensure the O-rings on the new filter cartridge and the housing O-ring are properly seated. Insert the new filter into the housing.
6. Reinstall Housing Cap: Reinstall the housing cap and tighten it with the housing wrench. Do not overtighten, as this might make future filter replacement difficult.
7. Reattach Filter Housing: Twist the housing counterclockwise back onto the machine head until secure.
8. Restore Water Supply & Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the cold water supply valve. Check all connections for leaks.
9. Flush the New Filter: Let the water run from the faucet for at least 5 minutes to flush the new filter. This prepares it for optimal performance.

6. Troubleshooting

• Leaks at Connections:
  • Ensure all connections are tightened properly.
