1. Introduction

2. Package Contents

Note: 2 AA batteries are required for the main unit (for data backup) and are not included. Additional wireless sensors can be purchased separately.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Powering the Main Unit

  1. Connect AC Power: Plug the provided AC power adapter into the DC 5V port on the back of the main display unit, then plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The display will light up.
  2. Install Backup Batteries (Optional but Recommended):
    • Locate the folding bracket on the back of the main unit.
    • Find the battery compartment.
    • To open the battery cover, push the cover in the opposite direction of the arrow indicated on it. This may require firm pressure.
    • Insert 2 AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
    • Close the battery cover securely.

    The batteries are primarily for data backup during power outages. The unit is designed to be continuously powered by the AC adapter for optimal display brightness.

3.2 Setting Up the Outdoor Sensor

  1. Install Batteries in Sensor: Open the battery compartment of the wireless outdoor sensor and insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  2. Placement: Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, dry location away from direct sunlight and precipitation for accurate readings. Ensure it is within the wireless range (up to 328 feet) of the main unit.
  3. Pairing: The main unit and outdoor sensor should automatically pair within a few minutes. If not, press the "SEARCH" button on the back of the main unit to initiate a manual search for the sensor. The outdoor temperature and humidity will appear on the display once paired.

3.3 Initial Time and Date Settings

After powering on, the unit will attempt to receive time signals. If manual adjustment is needed:

  1. Press and hold the "MODE" button on the back of the unit to enter time setting mode.
  2. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow buttons to adjust values.
  3. Press "MODE" again to confirm and move to the next setting (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day, DST).
  4. Press "MODE" one last time to exit setting mode.

4. Operating the Weather Station

4.1 Display Overview

The 7.5-inch color display provides a clear and organized view of all essential weather data:

  • Time & Alarm: Displays current time, alarm status, and DST indicator.
  • Calendar: Shows the current date (month, day, day of the week).
  • Weather Forecast: Icons indicate predicted weather conditions (sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy).

4.3 Weather Forecast and Barometer

4.4 Adjustable Brightness

The color display offers three brightness options (Bright, Dark, Off) to suit your viewing preference and environment. This feature is available when the unit is powered by the AC adapter.

4.5 Multiple Sensors Support

The Wittime 2101 can support up to three wireless outdoor sensors, allowing you to monitor temperature and humidity in different locations (e.g., backyard, garage, greenhouse). The main unit will cycle through the channels or you can manually select a channel using the "CH" button.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and outdoor sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure to use fresh AA batteries.
  • Sensor Placement: Periodically check the outdoor sensor's placement to ensure it remains protected from direct elements and is within effective wireless range.

6. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No display on main unit. AC adapter not connected or faulty; batteries depleted (if running on battery only). Ensure AC adapter is securely plugged in. Check wall outlet. Replace batteries if applicable.
