4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Compatibility Check

Before installation, verify the following:

1. Engine Orientation: The pump is designed for horizontal mounted engines.
2. Shaft Diameter: Compatible with 3/4" (19.05mm) shafts ONLY.
3. Engine Power: Suitable for engines ranging from 180 to 225 cc, or 6.5 to 7 horsepower.

4.2 Installation Steps

The pump comes pre-filled with oil for its lifetime, requiring no initial oil change. The installation process typically takes less than 10 minutes.

1. Prepare Engine: Ensure the engine is off, cool, and the spark plug wire is disconnected. Remove the old pump if applicable.
2. Rotate Shaft: Rotate the engine shaft until the keyway faces upward.
3. Insert Key: Place the provided shaft key into the keyway on the engine shaft.
4. Install Pump: Carefully slide the new MUTURQ pump onto the engine shaft, aligning the pump's keyway with the shaft key. Ensure the mounting holes align.
5. Secure Screws: Install and securely tighten the mounting bolts. The packet includes new mounting bolts, but you may reuse original bolts if they fit properly.
6. Connect Hoses: Connect your pressure washer hose to the M22-14mm NPT outlet and your garden hose to the 3/4" NH inlet. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
7. Attach Chemical Hose: If using, attach the chemical hose with filter to the chemical injector port.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the pump is installed and all connections are secure, you can begin operation.

1. Water Supply: Ensure a continuous and adequate water supply to the pump inlet. Turn on the water faucet completely.
2. Purge Air: Squeeze the trigger of the spray gun to purge air from the pump and hose until a steady stream of water emerges.
3. Start Engine: Start your pressure washer engine according to its manufacturer's instructions.
4. Adjust Pressure: The MUTURQ pump features an easy-adjust unloader valve. To adjust the pressure, simply twist the black knob on the unloader valve.

Twisting the knob clockwise typically increases pressure, while counter-clockwise reduces it. Adjust the pressure as needed for your cleaning task. This eliminates the need for a wrench and helps prevent sudden pressure spikes that could damage surfaces.

The MUTURQ pump is designed for minimal maintenance, featuring pre-filled oil for its lifetime, eliminating the need for oil changes.

• Corrosion Resistance: The die-cast aluminum construction provides good resistance against corrosion.
• Long-Term Storage: If the pressure washer will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to use an anti-freeze and lubricant formula. Apply this formula before storage and prior to starting up the following season to ensure optimal pump performance and longevity.
• Thermal Relief Valve: The integrated thermal relief valve protects the pump from overheating during bypass mode. Ensure this valve is clear of obstructions.
• Inlet Filter: Regularly inspect and clean the high-density filter on the 3/4" NH inlet to prevent debris from entering and damaging the pump.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 No Pressure or Low Pressure

• Check Water Supply: Ensure the water faucet is fully open and there are no kinks in the garden hose.
• Purge Air: Re-purge air from the system by squeezing the spray gun trigger until a steady stream of water flows.
• Inlet Filter: Inspect and clean the inlet filter for any blockages.
• Unloader Valve: Ensure the unloader valve is properly adjusted. Twist the knob to increase pressure.
