Setup
1. Battery Installation
The CareSens S Fit meter uses one CR2032 lithium battery. Ensure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment.
2. Setting Date and Time
- With the meter off, press and hold the 'S' button until the setup screen appears.
- Use the arrow buttons to adjust the year, month, day, hour, and minute.
- Press the 'S' button to confirm each setting and move to the next.
- Once all settings are confirmed, the meter will exit setup mode.
3. Preparing the Lancing Device
- Unscrew the cap of the lancing device.
- Insert a new lancet firmly into the lancet holder.
- Twist off the protective cap of the lancet.
- Replace the lancing device cap.
- Adjust the penetration depth by rotating the cap (start with a shallower depth and adjust as needed).
- Pull back the cocking control until it clicks, indicating it is ready to use.
Operating Instructions
Performing a Blood Glucose Test
- Prepare: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Dry them completely.
- Insert Test Strip: Remove a test strip from its vial and immediately close the vial cap tightly. Insert the test strip into the meter's test strip port with the contact bars facing up. The meter will turn on automatically and display a blood drop symbol.
- Obtain Blood Sample: Place the prepared lancing device firmly against the side of your fingertip. Press the release button to prick your finger. Gently squeeze your finger to form a small drop of blood.
- Apply Blood Sample: Touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood will be drawn into the strip. Do not apply blood to the top of the strip.
- Read Results: The meter will begin counting down. Your blood glucose result will appear on the display in approximately 6 seconds.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Meter
Wipe the meter's exterior with a soft cloth dampened with water or a mild detergent. Do not immerse the meter in water or use harsh cleaning agents.
Storage
Store the meter and test strips in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep the test strip vial tightly closed to protect strips from moisture.
Battery Replacement
When the battery low indicator appears on the display, replace the CR2032 battery promptly to ensure continued accurate operation.
