4. Setup: Attaching the RockSeal
To ensure optimal performance, correctly attach the RockSeal to your GRABO unit. The RockSeal replaces the standard seal on your GRABO for use on rough surfaces.
- Remove Existing Seal: If your GRABO unit has a seal currently installed, carefully remove it. This typically involves prying it out from the edges using a flathead screwdriver or a similar tool, as demonstrated in the video below.
- Clean Surface: Ensure the GRABO's base and the new RockSeal are clean and free of debris.
- Install RockSeal: Align the RockSeal with the base of your GRABO unit. Gently press it into place, ensuring the entire perimeter is seated securely. The RockSeal is designed for a snug fit without the need for additional tools or screws.

5. Operating Instructions
Once the RockSeal is securely attached to your GRABO unit, you are ready to lift rough materials.
- Prepare Surface: Ensure the surface of the material you intend to lift is relatively clean and free of loose debris that could interfere with the seal.
- Position GRABO: Place the GRABO unit with the RockSeal firmly onto the material's surface. Apply initial downward pressure to help create an initial seal.
- Activate Suction: Turn on your GRABO unit. The vacuum pump will engage, creating a strong suction. The RockSeal's design allows it to conform to rough textures, establishing a secure grip.
- Monitor Pressure: If your GRABO model has a pressure gauge, monitor it to ensure sufficient vacuum is achieved before lifting. The GRABO unit will automatically cycle on and off to maintain the vacuum pressure.
- Lift Material: Once a stable vacuum is established, carefully lift and move the material. Always maintain a firm grip on the GRABO's handle.
- Release Material: To release the material, press the vacuum release button on your GRABO unit. The suction will disengage, allowing you to safely detach the lifter.

- Inspection: Regularly inspect the RockSeal for any signs of wear, tears, or damage. A damaged seal can compromise the vacuum and lifting capacity.
