3. Controller Layout

Familiarize yourself with the buttons and features of your MSI Force GC30V2 controller:

4. Setup and Connection

The MSI Force GC30V2 supports both wireless and wired connections.

4.1 Wireless Connection (PC/Android)

  1. Insert the USB wireless dongle into an available USB port on your PC or Android device.
  2. Press and hold the MSI logo button on the controller for a few seconds until the LED indicators light up.
  3. The controller will automatically attempt to connect to the dongle. Once connected, the LED indicators will stabilize, indicating a successful connection.
  4. For PC, the controller will automatically adjust to PC mode. For Android, you may need to hold the MSI logo button to cycle through modes until the appropriate LED pattern for Android is displayed (refer to the back of the controller for LED patterns).

4.2 Wired Connection (PC/Android/PlayStation 3)

  1. Connect the Micro-USB end of the charging cable to the controller and the USB-A end to your PC, Android device (with an OTG adapter, if needed), or PlayStation 3 console.
  2. The controller will automatically power on and establish a wired connection. The LED indicators will show the active mode.

4.3 Changing D-Pad

The D-pad is magnetically attached and can be easily swapped:

  1. Gently pull the existing D-pad cover upwards to remove it.
  2. Align the desired D-pad cover with the D-pad base and place it down. The magnets will secure it in place.

5. Operating the Controller

6.1 Charging the Controller

Wipe the controller with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surface or internal components.

6.3 D-Pad Replacement
