Setup
Setting the Time
The watch crown is located on the right side of the watch case. Pushers are located above and below the crown.
- Pull the crown out to position 2.
- Turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
- Push the crown back into position 0 to start the watch.
Setting the Date and Moonphase
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn the crown clockwise to adjust the date.
- Turn the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the moonphase indicator.
- Push the crown back into position 0 when finished.
Note: Avoid setting the date or moonphase between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.
Operating the Watch: Multifunction Features
Understanding the Subdials
The watch dial features three subdials. The top subdial indicates the day of the week, the left subdial shows 24-hour time, and the bottom subdial displays the moonphase.
- Day of the Week Indicator: Located at the 12 o'clock position, this subdial displays the current day of the week.
- 24-Hour Time Indicator: Located at the 9 o'clock position, this subdial shows the time in a 24-hour format.
- Moonphase Indicator: Located at the 6 o'clock position, this subdial displays the current phase of the moon. This indicator cycles through new moon, first quarter, full moon, and last quarter.
Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
To clean your watch, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, damp cloth. For the leather strap, use a specialized leather cleaner or a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
Water Resistance
Your watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming or showering. It is not recommended for diving, snorkeling, or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is pushed in completely before exposing the watch to water.
Strap Care
The genuine leather strap is designed for comfort and durability. Regular cleaning and conditioning can extend its lifespan.
The genuine leather strap can be interchanged with any 22mm Fossil strap. To change the strap, locate the quick-release pins on the underside of the strap where it connects to the watch case. Slide the pin to detach the strap.
Troubleshooting
Watch Not Running
- Check if the crown is fully pushed into position 0.
- The watch is powered by a battery. If it stops, the battery may need replacement. Contact an authorized service center.
Incorrect Time/Date/Moonphase
- Refer to the "Setup" section to correctly set the time, date, and moonphase.
- Ensure you are not attempting to set the date or moonphase between 9 PM and 3 AM.
