1. Product Overview

The Suraielec WiFi Pool Timer is a robust and intelligent solution designed for controlling high-power electrical devices such as pool filter pumps, fountains, hot water heaters, and patio lighting. 2. Safety Information

WARNING: Risk of electric shock. All wiring and servicing must be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure power is turned off at the main panel before installation or maintenance. If the compartment insulator is not installed properly or is missing, inform an electrician immediately.

This device is ETL Listed and conforms to UL STD.60730-1. For outdoor applications, ensure proper grounding between metallic conduit and the enclosure. Grounding type bushings and jumper wires must be installed in accordance with National Code Requirements.

• Always disconnect power before working on the device.
• Do not exceed the specified electrical ratings (40A Resistive, 2HP).
• Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.
• The weatherproof enclosure protects against rain, snow, and dust. Ensure the cover is securely latched for outdoor use.
• Operating temperature range: -40°F to 149°F.

4. Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure all power to the circuit is disconnected at the main breaker. This device is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. For outdoor installations, ensure the weatherproof box cover is securely closed and consider the working temperature range.

4.1 Mounting the Device

The timer box can be wall-mounted using the designated mounting holes. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and can support the device securely. The enclosure is designed to be weatherproof, protecting the internal components from environmental elements.

4.2 Wiring Instructions

The Suraielec WiFi Pool Timer supports controlling one or two separate loads at 120V or 277V. The internal module is detachable for easier wiring. Refer to the wiring diagrams below for proper connection. It is highly recommended to consult a qualified electrician for wiring to ensure safety and compliance with local electrical codes.

Note on 240VAC Devices: While the timer can control 240VAC devices by utilizing both switches for the two hot legs, it is crucial that both switches are shut OFF simultaneously when turning off a 240VAC device (e.g., a hot water tank). For dedicated 240VAC devices, consider models UBTW01A or UBTW01B which are designed specifically for such applications to ensure proper and safe operation.

5. Setup

After successful installation and wiring, proceed with setting up the Wi-Fi connection and configuring the timer via the Smart Life App.

5.1 App Download and Wi-Fi Connection

1. Download the "Tuya Smart Life" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
2. Register or log in to your account.
3. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. This device does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your router broadcasts both frequencies, you may need to temporarily disable the 5 GHz band or ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz band during setup.
4. Follow the in-app instructions to add the device. This typically involves putting the timer into pairing mode (refer to the device's indicator lights and buttons for specific instructions, usually a long press on a button).

6. Operating Instructions

The Suraielec WiFi Pool Timer offers both manual control and smart control via the app and voice assistants.

6.1 Manual Control

Each switch on the timer has a corresponding manual ON/OFF button (which also serves as a reset button with an indicator light). Press the button to toggle the connected appliance on or off manually.

6.2 App Control and Scheduling

Once connected to the Smart Life App, you can:

• Remote ON/OFF: Control your devices from anywhere with an internet connection.
• Program Timer: Set specific ON/OFF times for each day of the week.
• Countdown Timer: Set a device to turn off after a specified duration.
• Repeat Timer: Configure cycles of ON/OFF periods.
• Share Control: Share device control with family members through the app.

Integrate the Suraielec WiFi Pool Timer with Amazon Alexa or Google Home Assistant by linking your Smart Life account in their respective apps. Once linked, you can use voice commands to turn devices on or off.
