Important Note: This product is sold as a bare tool. The 24V battery and charger are not included and must be purchased separately.

2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
- Ensure the nailer is switched off.
- Align the battery pack with the battery port on the tool.
- Slide the battery pack into the tool until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.
The Greenworks 24V battery system is designed for compatibility across a range of Greenworks tools.

2.2 Loading Nails
The GD24BN nailer is compatible with 18GA brad nails ranging from 20mm to 50mm (5/8" to 2"). The magazine capacity is approximately 110 nails.
- Ensure the battery is removed for safety.
- Pull back the magazine follower until it locks in the open position.
- Insert a strip of brad nails into the magazine with the nail points facing down.
- Release the magazine follower, allowing it to push the nails forward.
- Check the nail indicator to ensure nails are properly loaded.
2.3 Adjusting Depth
The nailer features a tool-free depth adjustment mechanism.
- Locate the depth adjustment dial or lever on the tool.
- Rotate the dial or move the lever to increase or decrease the nailing depth.
- Test on a scrap piece of material to achieve the desired nail head flushness.
3. Operating the Nailer
3.1 Selecting Firing Mode
The GD24BN offers two firing modes for different applications:
- Single Firing Mode: For precise nail placement. The trigger must be released and pressed for each nail.
- Contact Firing Mode: For rapid, sequential nailing. Hold the trigger down and press the nose of the tool against the workpiece to fire nails. This mode can achieve up to 110 nails per minute.

3.2 Operating Procedure
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and installed.
- Load the appropriate brad nails into the magazine.
- Select the desired firing mode.
- Place the nose of the nailer firmly against the workpiece where the nail is to be driven. The safety contact element must be fully depressed.
- Pull the trigger to fire a nail.
- For contact firing mode, keep the trigger depressed and move the tool to the next position, pressing the nose against the workpiece to fire sequentially.
- Release the trigger when finished or to stop firing.
3.3 Safety Features
- Safety Contact Element: The tool will not fire unless the nose is firmly pressed against a surface, preventing accidental discharge.
- Anti-Overheating Protection: An internal mechanism prevents the piston from overheating during high-speed operation, ensuring tool longevity and user safety.
- LED Light: Integrated LED light illuminates the work area for better visibility.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Clearing Nail Jams
The GD24BN features a tool-free jam release mechanism.
- Immediately remove the battery pack.
- Open the jam release latch or cover on the nose of the tool.
- Carefully remove any jammed nails or debris using pliers if necessary.
- Close the jam release latch or cover securely.
- Reinsert the battery and test the tool on a scrap piece.
4.2 Cleaning and Storage
- Keep the tool clean and free of dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe surfaces.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Store the tool in a dry, secure place out of reach of children.
- Remove the battery pack before storing for extended periods.
