Product Features
Godox 2.4G Wireless X System
The TT685II-C is equipped with the Godox 2.4G wireless X system, allowing for seamless connectivity with compatible flashes or flash triggers. This system supports multiple groups (A, B, C, D, E) and 32 channels (1-32) with a transmission range of approximately 100m. It can function as both a transmitter and a receiver unit.

Quick-Release Lock
The TT685II-C features a quick-release lock mechanism for fast and secure mounting onto your camera's hot shoe. This design ensures a smooth setup, crucial for capturing critical moments efficiently.

Wide Light Coverage

TCM Instant Conversion

Bounce Angle
The flash head can be swiveled and tilted to achieve various bounce angles, providing flexible lighting options. It can rotate 0-330° horizontally and -7°-120° vertically.

High-Speed Sync (HSS)
The TT685II-C supports High-Speed Sync (HSS) up to 1/8000s, allowing you to use wider apertures in bright conditions or freeze fast-moving subjects. It also supports first-curtain sync and second-curtain sync.

Power Supply & Recycle Time
The flash is powered by 4x AA batteries (Ni-MH recommended). It provides approximately 330 full power flashes with a recycle time of 0.1-2.6 seconds (with rechargeable Ni-MH batteries). Power saving mode automatically turns off the unit after 90 seconds of idle operation (60 minutes if set as a receiver).

USB Update Port
The flash unit includes a Type-C USB port for firmware updates, ensuring compatibility and access to future enhancements. It also features a 2.5mm sync line jack for wired triggering.

Setup
Battery Installation
To install batteries, uncover the battery compartment by pushing it to the top. Insert four AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Recover the compartment by pushing it back into place.

Mounting on Camera
Align the flash unit with your camera's hot shoe. Slide the flash onto the hot shoe until it clicks into place. Rotate the quick-release button to fix the connection securely.

Connecting to External Power (Optional)
For shorter recycling times, the TT685II-C can be connected to an external power pack like the Godox PB960. Ensure batteries are installed in the flash. Uncover the socket of the power pack, plug in the Propac cable, and screw the knob to fix the connection. Then, plug the Propac cable into the power port on the flash unit.

Operating Instructions
Control Panel Overview
The control panel features function buttons (1-4), a menu button, test button/flash ready indicator, power switch, wireless selection button, select dial, focus length setting, power output, mode selection button, set button, and lock button.

Basic Operation
Power On/Off
Push the power switch to turn the unit on or off.
Mode Selection (ETTL/M/Multi)
Short press the MODE button to cycle through ETTL, Manual (M), and Multi-flash modes.

Wireless Operation (Transmitter/Receiver)
The TT685II-C can operate as a Transmitter Unit (TX) or a Receiver Unit (RX) within the Godox 2.4G Wireless X System.
Setting as Transmitter Unit (TX)
- Short press the Wireless Selection Button to select Transmitter Unit (TX).
- Set the channel of the TT685II-C to match the receiver flashes (e.g., "28").
- Set the ID of the flash trigger to match the receiver flashes (e.g., "23").
- Set the group of the flash trigger to match the receiver flashes (e.g., "D").
- Adjust the FEC (Flash Exposure Compensation) amount of the AD100Pro (or other receiver flash).
- Press the Flash Button to trigger a flash, ensuring successful connection.

Setting as Receiver Unit (RX)
- Short press the Wireless Selection Button to select Receiver Unit (RX).
- Set the channel of the flash trigger to match the TT685II-C (e.g., "28").
- Set the ID of the flash trigger to match the TT685II-C (e.g., "23").
- Set the group of the flash trigger to match the TT685II-C (e.g., "E").
- Adjust the FEC amount of the TT685II-C.
- Press the flash button on the trigger to trigger a flash, making sure successful connection.

Flash Exposure Bracketing (FEB)
The FEB function allows the flash to take three shots while automatically changing the output for each shot from -1.3 to +1.3 in 1/3rd stops. To activate, short press the FEB button, turn the dial to set the FEB amount, and short press the SET button to confirm.

Multi-Flash Mode
In Multi-flash mode, the flash fires a series of rapid flashes. Short press the +/- button and turn the dial to set the flash output. Short press the Times button to set the flash times, and short press the Hz button to set the flash frequency (Hz: flashes per second).

Zoom Function
Short press the ZOOM button, then turn the dial to set the focal length. Short press the SET button to confirm. The flash coverage can be set from 20mm to 200mm.

TCM Function (TTL Converted to Manual)
To use TCM, first shoot in ETTL mode. Then, short press the TCM button to transform from ETTL to Manual (M) mode, retaining the flash output. You can then adjust the output manually as needed.

Custom Functions (C.Fn)
Short press the MENU button to enter the main menu display. Use the dial and SET button to navigate and adjust various custom functions, including:
- m/ft: Select meters or feet for distance display.
- AF: Turn AF assist beam ON/OFF.
- STBY: Set standby time (e.g., 60min/30min).
- RX STBY: Set receiver standby time (e.g., 60min/30min).
- SCAN: Scan for clear channels (OFF/START).
- CH: Select channel from 1 to 32.

Maintenance
- Keep the device dry. Do not handle with wet hands or immerse in water.
- Avoid strong impacts, as this may damage the flash unit.
- Keep the flash unit away from strong magnetic fields.
- Clean the flash unit regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using solvents or harsh chemicals.
- If the unit will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and corrosion.
Troubleshooting
- Flash not firing: Check battery level, ensure flash is securely mounted on hot shoe, verify wireless settings (channel, ID, group) if using off-camera.
- E1 error: This error typically indicates a need to reboot the flash unit. Turn the flash off and then on again. If the issue persists, check the battery compartment for proper battery insertion or try new batteries.
- Inconsistent exposure: Ensure flash mode (ETTL/M) is appropriate for your shooting conditions. Check FEC settings. For HSS, be aware of potential power loss at very high shutter speeds.
- Screen not lighting up: Check the LCD backlight setting in Custom Functions (C.Fn).
