3. Adjusting Leg Angles

Each leg has an angle adjustment lock. Press the lock and move the leg to one of the three available angles (approximately 10°, 35°, or 67°). Release the lock to secure the leg in position. This allows for versatile positioning, including low-angle shooting.

  • Main Locking Knob: Loosen this knob to adjust the camera's angle and tilt. Tighten it firmly to secure the camera in position.
  • Panning Lock Knob: Loosen this knob to rotate the camera horizontally (360° panning). Tighten it to lock the panning movement.

3. Using the Stone Bag and Counterweight Hook

For added stability in windy conditions or with heavy camera setups, utilize the stone bag and counterweight hook.

  • Stone Bag: Attach the stone bag to the tripod's center column or leg junctions. Fill it with rocks, sand, or other heavy objects to lower the center of gravity.
  • Counterweight Hook: Hang a camera bag or other weight from the rotatable counterweight hook located at the bottom of the center column.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life and performance of your ARTCISE tripod.

  • Cleaning: After use, especially in dusty, sandy, or wet environments, wipe down the tripod legs and ball head with a clean, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried before storage.
  • Lubrication: Periodically check the leg locks and ball head mechanisms. If they feel stiff, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts. Avoid oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust.
  • Storage: Store the tripod in its carrying bag in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect all screws, bolts, and leg locks for tightness. Use the provided Allen keys to tighten any loose fasteners. Check rubber feet and spikes for wear and replace if necessary.
