Setup Instructions
1. Attaching the Ball Head
The LB52 low-profile ball head comes pre-attached to the CS90C tripod. If it needs to be re-attached or replaced, ensure the tripod's mounting screw (UNC 3/8" Male Thread) is securely fastened to the base of the ball head.

2. Extending the Tripod Legs
To extend the tripod legs, release the leg locks on each section. Pull the leg sections outwards to the desired length, then firmly close the leg locks to secure them. The tripod features 10-layer carbon fiber tubes for stability.

3. Adjusting Leg Angles
Each leg has an angle adjustment lock. Press the lock and move the leg to one of the three available angles (approximately 10°, 35°, or 67°). Release the lock to secure the leg in position. This allows for versatile positioning, including low-angle shooting.

Operating Instructions
1. Using the Ball Head
The LB52 low-profile ball head allows for smooth and precise camera positioning.
- Main Locking Knob: Loosen this knob to adjust the camera's angle and tilt. Tighten it firmly to secure the camera in position.
- Panning Lock Knob: Loosen this knob to rotate the camera horizontally (360° panning). Tighten it to lock the panning movement.
- Quick Release Plate: Attach your camera to the quick release plate, then slide the plate into the ball head's clamp. Ensure the clamp lever is securely locked.

2. Detachable Monopod Function
One of the tripod legs can be detached and used as a monopod.
- Identify the leg with the rubber grip and the monopod icon.
- Unscrew this leg from the tripod chassis.
- If desired, attach the ball head directly to the top of the detached monopod.
- To reattach, align the threads and screw the leg back onto the tripod chassis until secure.

3. Using the Stone Bag and Counterweight Hook
For added stability in windy conditions or with heavy camera setups, utilize the stone bag and counterweight hook.
- Stone Bag: Attach the stone bag to the tripod's center column or leg junctions. Fill it with rocks, sand, or other heavy objects to lower the center of gravity.
- Counterweight Hook: Hang a camera bag or other weight from the rotatable counterweight hook located at the bottom of the center column.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance will extend the life and performance of your ARTCISE tripod.
- Cleaning: After use, especially in dusty, sandy, or wet environments, wipe down the tripod legs and ball head with a clean, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dried before storage.
- Lubrication: Periodically check the leg locks and ball head mechanisms. If they feel stiff, apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts. Avoid oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust.
- Storage: Store the tripod in its carrying bag in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect all screws, bolts, and leg locks for tightness. Use the provided Allen keys to tighten any loose fasteners. Check rubber feet and spikes for wear and replace if necessary.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Tripod legs do not extend or retract smoothly. | Dirt or sand inside leg sections; leg locks are too tight/loose. | Clean leg sections thoroughly. Adjust leg lock tension with an Allen key if applicable. |
| Ball head movement is stiff or jerky. | Accumulated dirt; insufficient lubrication. | Clean the ball head mechanism. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant. |
| Camera is not stable on the ball head. | Quick release plate not securely fastened; ball head locking knob not tightened. | Ensure the quick release plate is fully seated and locked. Tighten the main locking knob firmly. |
| Monopod leg is difficult to detach/attach. | Threads are dirty or misaligned. | Clean the threads on both the leg and the tripod chassis. Ensure correct alignment before screwing. |
