The TempPro A50-2 is a digital indoor thermometer and hygrometer designed to provide accurate and real-time measurements of temperature and humidity in your environment. 3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
2. Slide open the battery cover.
3. Insert one AAA battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery cover securely. The device display should immediately activate.

3.2 Initial Placement

The TempPro A50-2 offers versatile placement options:

• Tabletop Stand: Utilize the integrated foldable stand on the back to place the device upright on any flat surface, such as a desk, shelf, or nightstand.
• Magnetic Attachment: The device features a strong magnet on its back, allowing it to be securely attached to metallic surfaces like refrigerators or metal cabinets.

For optimal accuracy, place the device away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or strong drafts.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Reading the Display

The large LCD screen provides clear and easy-to-read information:

• Current Humidity: Displayed as a percentage (%) at the top.
• Air Comfort Indicator: A face icon (Dry, Comfort, Wet) indicates the current humidity level.
• Current Temperature: Displayed in large digits in either Fahrenheit (°F) or Celsius (°C).
• High/Low Records: The highest and lowest temperature and humidity readings since the last reset are shown at the bottom of the display.

4.2 Switching Temperature Units (°F/°C)

To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), locate the small button on the back of the device, usually near the battery compartment. Press this button once to toggle the temperature unit.

4.3 Resetting High/Low Records

The device automatically records the highest and lowest temperature and humidity readings since it was last turned on or reset. To clear these records and start a new tracking period, press and hold the reset button (often the same button used for °F/°C switching) on the back of the device for a few seconds until the high/low values reset.

• Cleaning: Wipe the device gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
• Battery Replacement: When the display dims or becomes unreadable, replace the AAA battery as described in the Setup section. Dispose of used batteries responsibly.
• Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage and damage. Store in a cool, dry place.

• No Display or Dim Display:
  • Check if the battery is inserted correctly with the proper polarity.
  • Replace the AAA battery with a new one.
• Inaccurate Readings:
  • Ensure the device is not placed near direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight), cold drafts (e.g., open windows, air conditioning vents), or high humidity sources (e.g., humidifiers, showers).
  • Allow the device to stabilize in its new environment for at least 30 minutes after moving it.
  • Reset the high/low records to see if current readings normalize.
• Comfort Indicator Not Changing:
  • The comfort indicator changes based on specific temperature and humidity ranges. Ensure your environment's conditions fall within the defined ranges for Dry, Comfort, or Wet.
