3. Setup
3.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the battery. The ECO-WORTHY 12V 30Ah LiFePO4 battery can be recharged using a compatible 12V 10A battery charger or a 100W solar panel.

Figure 3.1: Illustration of charging methods. A 12V 10A battery charger can fully charge the battery in approximately 3 hours, while a 100W solar panel can charge it within one sunny day.
3.2 Connecting Multiple Batteries (Capacity Expansion)
The ECO-WORTHY 12V 30Ah LiFePO4 battery supports both parallel and series connections to expand capacity or increase voltage.
- Parallel Connection: Connect batteries in parallel to increase total Amp-hour (Ah) capacity while maintaining 12V. There is no limit to the number of batteries that can be connected in parallel. Ensure all batteries are of the same type and voltage.
- Series Connection: Connect up to 4 identical batteries in series to increase the voltage (e.g., 24V, 36V, 48V). For example, four 12V batteries in series will create a 48V battery bank.

Figure 3.2: Visual guide for connecting batteries in parallel (left) to increase current capacity at 12V, and in series (right) to increase voltage up to 48V (using four batteries).
Important: Always ensure batteries are of the same type and charge level before connecting them in series or parallel. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure about wiring configurations.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 General Usage
This battery is designed for deep cycle applications and is ideal for powering a wide range of devices. Its lightweight and compact design allows for flexible placement and easy transport.

Figure 4.1: Examples of devices powered by the 12V 30Ah battery, including a trolling motor (2.4 hours), fish finder (72 hours), ride-on car (12 hours), water pump (6 hours), radio (9 hours), and scooter (6 hours).
4.2 Important Safety Information
DO NOT use this battery as a starter battery for diesel generators or motorcycles.

Figure 4.2: Visual warning against using the battery for starting diesel generators or motorcycles, as it is not designed for high cranking amps.
- Ensure proper ventilation when charging or discharging.
- Avoid short-circuiting the battery terminals.
- Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Keep out of reach of children.
5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your LiFePO4 battery.
- Regular Charging: While LiFePO4 batteries have a low self-discharge rate (approximately 3% per month), it is advisable to charge them regularly, especially if stored for extended periods.
- Temperature Control: Operate and store the battery within the recommended temperature ranges (Charging: 32-131°F / 0-55°C; Discharging: -4-131°F / -20-55°C).
- Terminal Inspection: Periodically check battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections. Clean as necessary.
- BMS Protection: The built-in BMS actively manages the battery to prevent damage from overcharge, over-discharge, and other issues, minimizing the need for manual intervention.

Figure 5.1: The battery is designed for over 3000 cycles, maintaining 80% capacity, contributing to a lifespan of 10+ years.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ECO-WORTHY LiFePO4 battery, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Battery not charging | Charger incompatibility, low voltage cutoff by BMS, faulty connections. | Ensure charger is compatible with LiFePO4 batteries. Check all connections for tightness and corrosion. If battery voltage is extremely low, a specialized charger or a temporary jump-start from another battery might be needed to reactivate the BMS (consult technical support). |
| Battery not providing power | Over-discharge protection activated, short-circuit, loose connections, device drawing too much current. | Recharge the battery. Check for short circuits in the connected system. Verify all connections. Ensure the connected device's power draw is within the battery's continuous discharge current limits. |
| Reduced capacity or runtime | Aging, extreme operating temperatures, consistent deep discharges. | While LiFePO4 batteries have long lifespans, capacity can slightly decrease over many years. Ensure operation within recommended temperature ranges. Avoid consistently discharging the battery to 0% if possible. |
If issues persist, please contact ECO-WORTHY customer support for further assistance.
