6. Installation and Setup
Before installation, ensure the power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker.
6.1. Preparation
- Remove the protective film from the lamp surface.
- Gather all necessary tools (e.g., drill, screwdriver, measuring tape).
6.2. Mounting Options
The lights can be installed using two primary methods: hanging or surface mounting.

Image 6.1: Visual guide for installing the LED shop lights, detailing steps for both hanging installation using chains and surface mounting with clips.
Method A: Hanging Installation
- Install the clips onto the base of the lamp fixture.
- Attach the rope hangers (daisy chains) to the clips on the fixture.
- Secure the hooks into the ceiling at desired locations.
- Hang the lamp fixtures from the ceiling hooks using the daisy chains. Adjust chain length as needed.
Method B: Surface Mounting
- Screw the mounting clips onto the wall or ceiling at the desired locations. Ensure proper spacing for the fixture.
- Push the LED light fixture firmly into the mounted clips until it snaps securely into place.
6.3. Electrical Connection and Linking
These lights are designed for "Plug & Play" operation. You can connect multiple lights in a series.

Image 6.2: Illustration of the 59-inch power cord with an on/off switch and two methods for linking lights: using a connecting cord for spacing or a small connector for direct end-to-end connection.
- Single Light Connection: Connect the 59-inch power cord to one end of the LED fixture. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Linking Multiple Lights:
- Using Connecting Cords: Use the provided 47-inch double-ended connecting cords to link fixtures in a series. Connect one end of the cord to the output of the first fixture and the other end to the input of the next fixture.
- Using Small Connectors: For a seamless, direct connection between fixtures, use the small connectors to join them end-to-end.
- Important: Only connect up to 4 lights in a single series to avoid overloading the circuit. Only one power cord is needed per series of linked lights.
- Once all connections are secure, turn on the power at the circuit breaker and use the on/off switch on the power cord to operate the lights.
7. Operating Instructions
Operating the SZHLUX LED Shop Lights is straightforward:
- Ensure the lights are properly installed and connected to a power source as described in Section 6.
- Locate the on/off switch on the power cord.
- Flip the switch to the "ON" position to illuminate the lights.
- Flip the switch to the "OFF" position to turn off the lights.
The lights provide instant full brightness without flickering or buzzing.
8. Maintenance
The SZHLUX LED Shop Lights require minimal maintenance.
- Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the fixture. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or electrical components.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cords, connecting cords, and mounting hardware for any signs of wear or damage. Replace any damaged components immediately.
- LED Lifespan: The LEDs are designed for a long lifespan (approximately 50,000 hours) and are not user-replaceable. If the light fixture fails, the entire unit should be replaced.
9. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SZHLUX LED Shop Lights, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power supply. On/off switch is off. Loose connection. Faulty fixture. | Check if the power cord is securely plugged in. Ensure the circuit breaker is on. Flip the on/off switch to "ON". Verify all connecting cords and connectors are secure. If other lights in a series work, the specific fixture may be faulty; contact support. |
| Lights flicker or dim. | Unstable power supply. Loose connection. Overloaded circuit (too many lights linked). | Check power source stability. Secure all connections. Ensure no more than 4 lights are linked in a single series. Reduce the number of linked lights if necessary. |
| Part of a linked series is off. | Faulty connecting cord/connector. Faulty individual fixture. | Check the connecting cord or small connector between the working and non-working lights. Try replacing it. If a single fixture is not working while others in the series are, that fixture may be faulty; contact support. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact SZHLUX customer support.
