7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your solar charge controller, regular maintenance is recommended:

  • Cleanliness: Keep the controller clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Connections: Periodically check all wire connections to ensure they are tight and secure. Loose connections can cause overheating and damage.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the installation area remains well-ventilated to prevent heat buildup.
  • Inspection: Inspect the controller for any signs of physical damage, corrosion, or discoloration.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your solar charge controller, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Display/No Power:
    • Check battery connections and ensure correct polarity.
    • Verify battery voltage is within the operating range (12V/24V).
    • Ensure the battery is not completely discharged.
  • Battery Not Charging:
    • Check solar panel connections and polarity.
    • Ensure solar panel is receiving sufficient sunlight.
    • Verify solar panel voltage is within the controller's input range (<41V).
    • Check for any open circuits in the solar panel wiring.
  • Load Not Working:
    • Check load connections and polarity.
    • Verify the load is not exceeding the controller's rated discharge current (10A).
    • Check battery voltage; the load may be disconnected due to low battery (Discharge Stop Voltage reached).
    • Ensure the load control settings are configured correctly (e.g., 24-hour mode).
  • Overcharge/Over-discharge Protection: The controller is designed to protect the battery. If these protections activate, check the battery voltage and system parameters. The controller will automatically recover once conditions return to normal.

If the problem persists, please contact customer support.
