Safety Information

Always exercise caution during installation and operation. Ensure the truck is parked on a level surface with the parking brake engaged. Do not operate the vehicle with the cover partially open or improperly secured. Keep hands and fingers clear of moving parts during operation. If any part is damaged, do not attempt to install or use the cover; contact customer support.

Installation Guide

Installation typically takes 15-20 minutes and requires no drilling. Ensure the truck bed rails are clean and free of any accessories before starting.

Step 1: Prepare the Truck Bed

Clean the truck bed rails thoroughly. Apply the provided seal foam strip along the bulkhead (the front wall of the truck bed closest to the cab) to ensure a watertight seal.

Step 2: Position the Cover Assembly

Carefully place the rolled-up tonneau cover assembly onto the foam strip at the front of the truck bed. Ensure it is centered and aligned with the truck bed rails.

Step 3: Attach Side Rails

Align the left and right side rails with the connection parts of the cover assembly. Fasten the set screws tightly to secure the rails to the cover assembly. Ensure the rails are parallel and extend evenly along the truck bed.

Step 4: Secure with Clamps

Adjust the position of the upper clamps evenly along the rails. Insert the lower clamps into the truck bed rail lips and tighten the hex screws for both the upper and lower clamps. Ensure both rails are fixed steadily and securely to the truck bed.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your tonneau cover, regular maintenance is recommended:

  • Cleaning: Wash the vinyl tarp with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the material. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
  • Frame Inspection: Periodically check the aluminum frame and clamps for any signs of loosening or damage. Tighten any loose screws or clamps as needed.
  • Vinyl Care: For best results and to maintain the vinyl's flexibility and UV resistance, consider using a vinyl protectant specifically designed for tonneau covers.
  • Weather Conditions: In extreme cold weather, the vinyl may become stiffer. Allow it to warm up slightly before attempting to roll or unroll to prevent cracking.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your tonneau cover, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Cover Not Latching: Ensure the side rails are properly aligned and the rear latches are fully extended and clear of any obstructions. Check that the tailgate is open when attempting to latch or unlatch.
  • Water Leaks: Verify that the seal foam strip on the bulkhead is properly installed and adhered. Check the tightness of all clamps and ensure the Velcro along the side rails is securely fastened. Small amounts of moisture may still enter during heavy rain or car washes.
  • Difficulty Rolling/Unrolling: Ensure the cover is clean and free of debris. In cold weather, allow the vinyl to warm up. Check for any obstructions along the rails.
  • Loose Fit: Re-check the tightness of all clamps along the side rails. Adjust the tension system if available (refer to specific product features).
