1. Introduction

The Samsung Smart Keyboard Trio 500 is a portable Bluetooth keyboard designed for seamless multi-device connectivity. 2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The Samsung Smart Keyboard Trio 500 requires two AAA batteries for operation. These are typically included with your purchase.

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the keyboard.
2. Gently pry open the cover. It may require slight force, but be careful not to damage the thin black strip.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.2 Power On/Off

To power on the keyboard, locate the power switch on the left side near the top, just to the left of the Esc key. Slide the switch to the 'On' position. A small indicator light will illuminate briefly.

2.3 Bluetooth Pairing

The keyboard can be paired with up to three devices. Use the dedicated F7, F8, and F9 keys for pairing.

1. Ensure the keyboard is powered on.
2. On your device (smartphone, tablet, PC), enable Bluetooth and search for nearby devices.
3. On the keyboard, press and hold one of the Bluetooth pairing keys (F7, F8, or F9) for at least 3 seconds. The LED indicator for that key will flash red, green, and blue, indicating it's in pairing mode.
4. On your device, select "Smart Keyboard Trio 500" from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
5. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process, which may include entering a code displayed on your device.
6. Once paired, the LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid for a few seconds before turning off.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Multi-Device Switching

After pairing with multiple devices (up to three), you can effortlessly switch between them by simply pressing the corresponding F7, F8, or F9 key. The keyboard will automatically connect to the selected device.

3.2 Custom Hot Keys

The keyboard features three customizable Hot Keys (APP1, APP2, APP3) located above the F1, F2, and F3 keys. You can assign your most frequently used applications to these keys for one-touch access.

1. Ensure your keyboard is connected to your device.
2. Open the desired application on your device.
3. Press and hold the APP1, APP2, or APP3 key you wish to assign until a confirmation appears on your device.
4. Now, a single press of the assigned Hot Key will launch the corresponding application.

3.3 Samsung DeX Integration

For Samsung users, the Smart Keyboard Trio 500 offers direct access to Samsung DeX, transforming your compatible smartphone or tablet into a desktop-like environment.

• Connect your keyboard to a Samsung device that supports DeX.
• Press the dedicated "DeX" button (F12) on the keyboard.
• Your device will switch to DeX mode, allowing you to work with multiple windows, use a mouse (if connected), and enhance your productivity.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

When the keyboard's performance degrades or the indicator light signals low battery, it's time to replace the AAA batteries. Follow the steps in Section 2.1 for battery installation.

4.2 Cleaning

To clean your keyboard, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid excessive moisture and do not spray liquids directly onto the keyboard.

5. Troubleshooting

• Keyboard not connecting:
  • Ensure the keyboard is powered on and batteries are correctly installed.
  • Check if Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Ensure the keyboard is in pairing mode (flashing LED on F7/F8/F9).
  • Try unpairing and re-pairing the keyboard from your device's Bluetooth settings.
  • Move the keyboard closer to your device to ensure it's within Bluetooth range.
• Keys not responding:
  • Check battery levels and replace if necessary.
  • Ensure the keyboard is properly connected to the correct device (check F7/F8/F9 indicator).
  • Restart both the keyboard (power off/on) and your connected device.
• DeX mode not activating:
