- Water Tank Installation: Ensure the water tank is correctly inserted into its compartment. The unit will not operate if the tank is full or improperly seated.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
Press the Power button on the control panel to turn the unit on or off.
5.2. Setting Desired Humidity
Use the Humidity Setting buttons (usually '+' and '-') to adjust the target humidity level. The display will show the current humidity and the set humidity. The unit will operate until the desired humidity is reached, then cycle on and off to maintain it.
5.3. Continuous Drainage (Optional)
For continuous operation without emptying the water tank, connect a drainage hose (not included) to the continuous drainage port located at the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity drainage into a suitable receptacle.
5.4. Water Tank Full Indicator
When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off, and an indicator light will illuminate. Empty the water tank and reinsert it properly to resume operation.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.
6.1. Cleaning the Air Filter
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Remove the air filter (refer to your unit's specific design for filter location, usually behind the front grille).
- Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Do not operate the unit without the filter.
6.2. Cleaning the Water Tank
Empty and clean the water tank regularly to prevent mold and mildew growth.
- Remove the water tank.
- Rinse it with clean water. For stubborn residue, use a mild detergent and brush.
- Dry the tank thoroughly before placing it back into the unit.
6.3. External Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
