4. Installation
This section provides general guidelines for installing the MFLASMF Concealed Shower System. Specific wall conditions and plumbing configurations may require adjustments. Professional installation is highly recommended.
4.1. Pre-Installation Steps
- Turn off the main water supply to your home.
- Clear the installation area and ensure you have all necessary tools.
- Review the plumbing diagram to understand water inlet and outlet connections.
4.2. Concealed Valve Installation

Figure 4.1: The main body of the 3-function installation box for the concealed valve, showing internal plumbing connections before the faceplate is attached.
- Prepare the wall opening according to the dimensions required for the concealed valve box. Ensure sufficient depth for the valve body.
- Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the designated inlets on the valve body (typically marked 'H' for hot and 'C' for cold).
- Connect the outlets from the valve to the respective shower components: rain shower head, handheld shower, and tub spout.
- Secure the valve box firmly within the wall opening using appropriate mounting hardware. Ensure it is level and flush with the finished wall surface.
4.3. Rain Shower Head and Arm Installation

Figure 4.2: Detailed view of the 10-inch (250x250mm) square rain shower head and its arm, showing the length of the arm (380mm).
- Thread the shower arm into the wall outlet for the rain shower head. Use plumber's tape on the threads to ensure a watertight seal.
- Attach the 10-inch rain shower head to the shower arm. Hand-tighten, then use a wrench to secure, being careful not to overtighten.
4.4. Handheld Shower and Spout Installation

- Install the tub spout onto its designated wall outlet. Ensure it is securely fastened and sealed.
- Mount the handheld shower holder at a convenient height on the wall.
- Connect one end of the 1.5m shower hose to the handheld shower head and the other end to the wall outlet for the handheld shower.
4.5. Final Assembly and Testing

Figure 4.4: A detailed diagram illustrating the recommended installation dimensions and plumbing connections for the shower system, showing hot, cold, and mixed water lines.
- Once all components are installed, turn on the main water supply slowly and check for any leaks.
- Operate the control valve to test each shower function (rain shower, handheld, tub spout) and verify proper water flow and temperature control.
- Install the decorative faceplate and handle onto the concealed valve.
5. Operating Instructions
The MFLASMF Concealed Shower System features a single control valve for water flow, temperature, and diverter functions.

Figure 5.1: Close-up of the matte black control valve, showing the main handle for temperature and flow, and the diverter knob for selecting shower functions.
- Water Flow and Temperature: The main handle controls both water flow and temperature. Rotate the handle to adjust the temperature (typically 'H' for hot, 'C' for cold) and pull it outwards to increase flow.
- Diverter Function: The smaller knob on the valve acts as a diverter. Rotate this knob to switch water flow between the 10-inch rain shower head, the handheld shower, and the tub spout.
- Self-Cleaning Nozzles: The rain shower head features soft silicone jets that prevent limescale buildup. Gently rub the nozzles with your finger to dislodge any mineral deposits.
6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your MFLASMF Shower System.
- Cleaning the Finish: Use a soft cloth and mild soap and water to clean the matte black finish. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, ammonia-based cleaners, or any products containing bleach or alcohol, as these can damage the finish.
- Nozzle Maintenance: Periodically rub the silicone nozzles on the rain shower head to remove any mineral deposits and maintain consistent spray patterns.
- Check for Leaks: Regularly inspect all connections for any signs of leaks and address them promptly.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your shower system.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| Low water pressure | Partially closed main water valve; clogged nozzles; debris in the system. | Ensure main water valve is fully open. Clean shower head nozzles. Consult a plumber if issue persists. |
| Water leaks from connections | Loose connections; worn seals/gaskets; improper installation. | Tighten connections. Replace seals/gaskets if damaged. Re-evaluate installation steps. |
| Difficulty changing water temperature | Cartridge issue; mineral buildup. | Clean or replace the thermostatic cartridge. Consult a plumber. |
| Diverter not switching properly | Diverter mechanism obstruction or wear. | Inspect diverter for debris. If worn, the diverter cartridge may need replacement. |
