3. Setup
Follow these steps to assemble your mandoline slicer:
- Place the main container on a stable, flat surface.
- Insert the desired blade into the blade insert holder. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Position the blade insert holder onto the main container.
- Ensure the non-slip feet on the bottom of the container are firmly gripping the surface.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 General Slicing and Grating
- Select the appropriate blade for your desired cut (e.g., thin slices, julienne, coarse grate).
- Securely place the chosen blade into the blade insert holder.
- Place the food item onto the blade surface.
- Attach the hand protector to the food item, ensuring a firm grip.
- With even pressure, slide the food item back and forth over the blade using the hand protector. The cut food will collect in the container below.
- Note: The thickness of the slicing blade is fixed and not adjustable.

4.2 Using Other Accessories
The Sedhoom Direct Mandoline Slicer includes several specialized accessories:
- Juice Squeezer:
- Install the Juice Squeezer into the Blade Insert Holder.
- Press and turn a half-cut orange or other citrus fruit on the squeezer to extract juice into the container.
- Egg Cutter:
- Install the Egg Cutter into the Blade Insert Holder.
- Place a hard-boiled egg into the groove of the Egg Cutter and press down to create even slices.
- Egg Separator:
- Place the Egg Separator on top of a container.
- Crack an egg over the separator; the yolk will remain, and the white will pass through.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your mandoline slicer:
- Disassembly: Carefully remove all blades and accessories from the main unit.
- Rinse: Rinse all components under running water immediately after use to prevent food from drying on surfaces.
- Brush Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning brush and cleaning claw to remove any food particles stuck in the blades or crevices. Exercise extreme caution when cleaning blades.
- Hand Wash Only: All components are recommended for hand washing only. Do not place in a dishwasher.
- Drying: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.
6. Storage
For convenient and safe storage:
- All blades and smaller accessories can be stored securely within the main container.
- Ensure all components are clean and dry before storage to prevent rust or bacterial growth.
- Store the assembled unit in a safe place, away from children.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues, refer to the following common solutions:
- Difficulty Slicing: Ensure the blade is correctly installed and clean. Some very soft or overripe foods may be difficult to slice cleanly. Ensure the food item is firm enough.
- Food Sticking to Blades: Clean blades immediately after use. Use the cleaning brush to dislodge stuck food.
- Unstable Unit: Ensure the mandoline slicer is placed on a dry, flat, and non-slip surface. Check that the non-slip feet are clean.
- Blades Not Cutting Evenly: Verify that the blade is properly seated in the holder. Ensure the food item is positioned correctly and even pressure is applied with the hand protector.
