1. Product Overview

The Bosch GardenPump 18V-2000 is a cordless submersible water pump designed to replace traditional watering cans, offering an efficient solution for watering plants from rainwater tanks. 2. Safety Information

Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the product. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
  • Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
  • Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
  • Avoid unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
  • Do not expose the pump to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the pump will increase the risk of electric shock.
  • Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

Before first use, ensure the 18V 2.5 Ah battery is fully charged using the AL 1810 HP charger. Once charged, insert the battery into the battery control unit.

3.2 Mounting the Control Unit

The battery control unit offers flexible mounting options:

  • Tank Mounting: Use the provided tank mounting system to hang the control unit directly on the edge of your rainwater tank.
  • Wall Mounting: For a more permanent setup, attach the control unit to a wall using the wall mounting system. This option also provides a theft-proof installation when secured with a screw.

3.3 Pump Placement and Hose Connection

Submerge the rain water pump into your rainwater tank. Connect the 2.5m connection hose to the pump and then to your desired watering accessory (e.g., spray gun, sprinkler).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the pump, press the power button on the battery control unit. The indicator lights will illuminate. Press the button again to power off.

4.2 Timer Function

The GardenPump 18V-2000 features a three-setting timer function, allowing you to set the pump to run for specific durations. This is particularly useful when using the pump with sprinklers or irrigation systems to ensure consistent watering without constant supervision.

4.3 Anti-Siphoning Feature

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning and Storage

After each use, especially if pumping dirty water, rinse the pump and hose with clean water. Store the pump and battery control unit in a dry, protected area, away from extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is removed from the control unit during long-term storage.

The pump and hose are designed to be easily detachable for cleaning, storage, and transport. This modular design simplifies handling and maintenance.

6. Troubleshooting
