3. Setup

3.1 Physical Connections

Before powering on the DVR, ensure all necessary connections are made. Refer to the diagram below for port identification and connection points.

  • Video Input: Connect your TVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS analog cameras to the BNC video input ports.
  • Audio Input/Output: Connect external microphones to audio input and speakers to audio output if desired.
  • VGA/HDMI Output: Connect the DVR to a monitor or TV using either the VGA or HDMI port for local display.
  • Ethernet Port: Connect an Ethernet cable from the DVR to your router for network access and remote viewing.
  • USB Ports: Connect the included USB mouse to one of the USB ports. Additional USB ports can be used for USB backup devices.
  • Power Input: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 12V power input.

3.2 Initial Power-Up and Configuration

After all physical connections are secure, connect the power adapter to a power outlet. The DVR will power on automatically. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, which typically includes setting up a password, date/time, and network settings.

3.3 Network Configuration

For remote access, ensure the DVR is connected to your network via the Ethernet cable. The DVR will usually obtain an IP address automatically via DHCP. If manual configuration is required, access the network settings through the DVR's menu.

4. Operating Your DVR

4.1 Live View

Once configured, you can view live feeds from your connected cameras on a local monitor or remotely via the SANNCE mobile app or web interface. The DVR supports 1080p Full HD live streaming.

4.2 Recording

The DVR is designed for 24/7 continuous recording to the internal 4TB hard drive. You can also configure scheduled recording or motion-triggered recording through the DVR's menu settings.

4.3 Motion Detection

The DVR features smart motion detection. When motion is detected in designated areas, the system can trigger recording, send real-time app push notifications, and email alerts.

4.4 Remote Access

4.5 Playback

Review recorded footage by accessing the playback function through the DVR's local interface or the remote access application. You can search for recordings by date, time, and event (e.g., motion detection).

5. Maintenance

5.1 Hard Drive Management
