1. Important Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before using this heat gun. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Personal Safety: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and heat-resistant gloves. Keep hair, loose clothing, and jewelry away from moving parts and hot surfaces.
  • Work Area Safety: Ensure the work area is clean, well-lit, and free of flammable materials. Do not operate the heat gun in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
  • Electrical Safety: Do not expose the heat gun to rain or wet conditions. Do not abuse the cord; never use it for carrying, pulling, or unplugging the heat gun. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
  • Heat Gun Operation: Do not point the heat gun at people or animals. Do not use the heat gun as a hair dryer. Do not block the air inlet or outlet. Allow the heat gun to cool completely before storing.
  • Overload Protection: This heat gun is equipped with an overload protector to prevent damage to the tool and circuit. If the tool stops working due to overheating, unplug it and allow it to cool down before resuming use.

3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Attaching Nozzles

The heat gun comes with various nozzles designed for different applications. To attach a nozzle:

  1. Ensure the heat gun is unplugged and cool.
  2. Select the appropriate nozzle for your task.
  3. Slide the nozzle onto the metal outlet of the heat gun until it is securely seated. Do not force it.
  4. To remove, allow the nozzle to cool completely, then gently pull it off.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On and Off

  1. Plug the heat gun into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Use the power switch (typically located on the handle) to turn the unit on.
  3. To turn off, switch the unit to the 'off' position and unplug it from the power source.

4.2 Temperature and Airflow Control

This heat gun features variable temperature control and two airflow settings:

  • Temperature Dial: Rotate the rear dial to adjust the temperature from 122℉ (50℃) to 1112℉ (600℃). Turning clockwise increases heat, counter-clockwise decreases heat.
  • Airflow Modes:
    • Mode I: 120℉-840℉ (50℃-450℃) with an airflow of 190-210 L/min.
    • Mode II: 120℉-1112℉ (50℃-600℃) with an airflow of 250-500 L/min.

  • Shrink Wrapping & Tubing: Use a concentrator nozzle for even heat distribution.
  • Paint Removal: Apply heat to soften paint, then use the included scraper or putty knife to remove it.
  • Bending Plastics: Heat the plastic evenly until pliable, then shape as desired.
  • Crafts & Epoxy Resin: Ideal for curing resin or drying paint quickly.
  • Thawing Frozen Pipes: Apply heat gradually and evenly to the frozen section.
  • Electronics Repair: Suitable for tasks like soldering or desoldering components with appropriate care.

4.4 Quick Cooling Method

To extend the service life of your heat gun, follow these steps for quick cooling after use:

  1. Set the wind speed to Gear 1 (lowest setting).
  2. Adjust the temperature to 122℉ (50℃).
  3. Place the heat gun in a vertical stand position for approximately 15 seconds.
  4. Turn off the heat gun and unplug it.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SEEKONE heat gun, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Heat Gun Does Not Turn On:
    • Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
    • Verify that the power switch is in the 'on' position.
  • No Heat or Insufficient Heat:
    • Ensure the temperature dial is set to a desired heat level.
    • Check for any obstructions in the air inlet or outlet that might be restricting airflow.
  • Heat Gun Stops During Operation (Overheat Protection):
    • This indicates the overload protection has activated. Unplug the heat gun and allow it to cool down for at least 15-20 minutes.
    • Ensure air vents are clear and not blocked during operation.
  • Unusual Noise or Smell:
    • Immediately turn off and unplug the heat gun.
    • Do not attempt to operate if unusual noises or burning smells persist. Contact customer support.
