- LCD Screen: Wipe the screen with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn smudges, use a screen cleaner designed for electronics.
- Camera Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body. A slightly damp cloth can be used for dirt, but ensure no moisture enters openings.
4.2 Battery Care
- Always use the original KODAK rechargeable Li-ion battery and charger.
- Avoid exposing the battery to extreme temperatures.
- If the camera will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery.
4.3 Storage
Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity. Use a camera bag for protection during transport.
4.4 Lens Cap
Always use the lens cap when the camera is not in use to protect the lens from dust and scratches. Be aware that the lens cap may detach easily, so ensure it is securely attached or stored safely when not on the lens.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your camera, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| Camera does not power on. | Battery is depleted or incorrectly inserted. Ensure battery is charged and correctly installed. |
| Battery not charging. | Check USB cable and AC adapter connections. Ensure power outlet is functional. The battery itself might be faulty; contact support if issues persist. |
| Cannot take photos/videos. | Memory card is full, locked, or not inserted. Ensure sufficient space, unlock the card, or insert it correctly. |
| Images are blurry. | Camera shake (use optical image stabilization or tripod), subject too close, or incorrect focus. Ensure proper lighting and focus. |
| Video recording stops unexpectedly. | The camera has a 29-minute limit per video clip. This is normal operation. |
| Lens cap falls off easily. | This can be a characteristic of the design. Exercise caution when handling or consider an alternative lens protection method if frequently an issue. |
If the problem persists after trying these solutions, please contact KODAK customer support.
