3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove all packaging materials and check that all components listed in Section 2.1 are present and undamaged.
- Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and level surface, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 4 inches of space on all sides).
- Allow the unit to stand upright for at least 2 hours before plugging it in, especially if it was transported horizontally. This allows the refrigerant to settle.
3.2 Initial Cleaning
- Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker. Remove the ice basket and wash it with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the interior with a soft cloth dampened with warm water and a small amount of vinegar or mild detergent. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.
- Ensure the drain plug at the bottom of the unit is securely closed.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adding Water
- Open the top lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
- Close the lid securely.
4.2 Starting Ice Production
- Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Press the "Start/Stop" button on the control panel to begin the ice making cycle.
- To select ice cube size (small or large), press the "S/L" button. The selected size will be indicated on the LCD display.
- The first batch of ice may take slightly longer to produce and may be smaller or irregular in shape. This is normal. Discard the first few batches of ice.
4.3 Understanding LCD Indicators
- Ice Full: The indicator will illuminate when the ice basket is full. The ice maker will automatically pause production. Remove ice to resume operation.
- Add Water: The indicator will illuminate when the water reservoir is low. Add water to the reservoir to resume ice production.
- S/L: Indicates the currently selected ice cube size (Small or Large).
- Clean: Indicates the self-cleaning mode is active.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Self-Cleaning Function
- Ensure the ice maker is empty of ice and water.
- Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the MAX line.
- Press the "Clean" button on the control panel to activate the self-cleaning cycle. The "Clean" indicator will light up.
- The cleaning cycle will run for a few minutes, circulating water through the system.
- Once the cycle is complete, drain the water from the unit by unplugging the drain plug at the bottom.
- Rinse the interior with clean water and drain again.

5.2 Regular Cleaning
- Regularly wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Clean the ice basket and ice scoop after each use.
- For thorough cleaning, especially if the unit is not used frequently, perform the self-cleaning cycle and then manually clean any remaining residue.
- Always ensure the unit is unplugged before performing any manual cleaning.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ice maker, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
