5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation. Ensure power is off before starting.

  1. Prepare the Mounting Area: Turn off power at the circuit breaker. Remove any existing light fixture and its mounting bracket from the ceiling junction box.
  2. Install New Mounting Bracket: Secure the new mounting bracket (included) to the ceiling junction box using the provided screws.
  3. Adjust Chain Length: Determine the desired hanging length for your pendant light. Use pliers to open and remove excess chain links. The maximum adjustable cord length is 59 inches (150 cm).
  4. Thread Wires: Carefully thread the electrical wires through the chain links and up through the canopy and mounting bracket.
  5. Connect Electrical Wires: Connect the fixture's wires to your household electrical wires using the provided wire nuts. Match white to white, black to black, and ground (copper) to ground. Ensure all connections are secure.
  6. Secure Canopy: Push the canopy up against the ceiling, covering the junction box and wiring. Secure it in place with the decorative screws provided.
  7. Install Bulb: Insert an E26 base bulb (max 100W, not included) into the socket. The bottom-opening design allows for easy bulb replacement without tools.
  8. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

The VIANIS Outdoor Pendant Light Fixture operates via your standard wall switch. Once installed and powered, simply toggle the wall switch to turn the light on or off.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your light fixture, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Clean the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish or glass.
  • Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off before replacing the bulb. The bottom-opening design allows for tool-free bulb replacement.
  • Weather Resistance: The fixture is constructed from die-cast aluminum and features tempered water glass, making it waterproof, sunproof, snowproof, and stormproof. Regular inspection for any debris accumulation is recommended.
