4. Installation and Setup
4.1 Mounting the Inverter
Mount the inverter vertically on a sturdy wall or surface in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Ensure there is sufficient clearance around the unit for proper airflow.
4.2 Wiring Diagram and Connections
Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper connection of the solar panels, battery, AC input (utility/generator), and AC output (loads). Always connect the PE (Protective Earth) conductor first.

Figure 4.1: Detailed wiring diagram showing connections for solar panel array, battery, AC input (generator/utility), and AC output. Note the recommended wire gauges and voltage specifications.
4.2.1 Battery Connection
- Connect a 24V battery bank (lead-acid or lithium) to the battery terminals.
- Ensure correct polarity: positive to positive, negative to negative.
- Recommended battery capacity: 200AH for optimal performance.
- Use 2 AWG battery wire for connections.
4.2.2 PV Array Connection
- Connect your solar panel array to the PV input terminals.
- The maximum PV input power is 4000W.
- The maximum open circuit voltage (VOC) should not exceed 450V.
- The starting voltage for the high-voltage version (450V max VOC) needs to be greater than 150V. For the low-voltage version (100V max VOC, 1600W max PV input), the starting voltage is greater than 30V. Verify your inverter's label for the correct voltage specification.
- Use 12 AWG PV wire for connections.
4.2.3 AC Input/Output Connection
- Connect the AC utility or generator to the AC input terminals.
- Connect your AC loads to the AC output terminals.
- AC input voltage: 120Vac ±5%, Frequency: 50Hz/60Hz.
- Max AC Bypass Current: 40A. Max AC Charge Current: 40A.
- AC output power: ≤ 3000W, Rate Voltage: 120Vac ±5%, Rate Current: 27.5A.
- Use 10 AWG AC wire for connections.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Initial Power-Up
After all connections are securely made and verified, turn on the battery breaker, then the AC input breaker (if applicable), and finally the PV array breaker. The inverter display will illuminate, and the unit will begin its startup sequence.
5.2 Display and Control Panel
The inverter features an LCD display and control buttons for monitoring system status and configuring settings. Refer to the detailed user interface section in the full product manual for specific navigation and parameter adjustments.
5.3 Operating Modes
The inverter supports multiple operating modes and two output modes, allowing flexibility in power management. These modes typically include:
- Utility Priority Mode: AC loads are primarily powered by the utility grid.
- Solar Priority Mode: AC loads are primarily powered by solar energy.
- Battery Priority Mode: AC loads are primarily powered by the battery.
The inverter also supports charging the battery from solar, utility, or generator power. Lithium batteries can be activated by either PV solar or mains power.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your inverter.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the inverter with a dry cloth. Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris.
- Connections: Annually inspect all electrical connections for tightness and signs of corrosion.
- Environment: Ensure the installation environment remains within specified temperature and humidity ranges.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your inverter, refer to the following common problems and solutions.
7.1 Error Codes
If an error code appears on the inverter screen (e.g., [21], [03], [04]), it often indicates a component issue such as a fan or fuse needing replacement. Consult the comprehensive troubleshooting section of the full manual for specific error code definitions and corrective actions.
7.2 General Troubleshooting Tips
- No Power Output: Check battery connections, battery voltage, and AC output breaker. Ensure the inverter is turned on.
- No Solar Charging: Verify PV array connections, ensure PV voltage is above the starting voltage (e.g., >150V for high-voltage version), and check for shading on solar panels.
- Overload Warning: Reduce the connected load. The inverter's output power is 3000W.
- Overheating: Ensure adequate ventilation around the inverter. Clean any dust from the fan vents.
