4.1 Compatible Cookware

The Tarrington House JDL-CS35D2 requires induction-compatible cookware. This includes pots and pans made of cast iron, enameled iron, or stainless steel with a magnetic base. Cookware with a base diameter up to 26 cm is suitable. To check compatibility, place a magnet on the bottom of your cookware; if it sticks, it is induction-compatible.

4.2 Basic Operation

  1. Power On: Place an induction-compatible pot or pan centrally on one of the cooking zones. Plug the appliance into the power outlet. The hob will enter standby mode.
  2. Select Cooking Zone: Press the Power button for the desired cooking zone. The LED display will illuminate.
  3. Adjust Power Level: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to select a power level from 1 to 10. Level 1 is the lowest, and Level 10 is the highest (2000W).
  4. Boost Function: For rapid heating, select the "Boost" function (if available, typically indicated by a specific button or by pressing '+' beyond level 10). This temporarily increases power to the selected zone.
  5. Automatic Pan Detection: If no suitable cookware is detected within a few seconds, the hob will display an error code (e.g., "E0") and switch off automatically.
  6. Power Off: Press the Power button for the active cooking zone to turn it off. The display may show "H" indicating residual heat. Unplug the appliance from the wall socket when not in use.

4.3 Timer Function

  1. Set Timer: While a cooking zone is active, press the Timer button. The LED display will show a default time or flash.
  2. Adjust Time: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired cooking time, up to 180 minutes.
  3. Start Timer: The timer will start automatically after a few seconds of inactivity or by pressing the Timer button again.
  4. End of Timer: When the set time expires, the hob will beep and automatically switch off the active cooking zone.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your induction hob.

  • Before Cleaning: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Ceramic Glass Surface: Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a specialized ceramic hob cleaner. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals that can scratch or damage the surface.
  • Control Panel: Wipe the touch control panel with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure no liquid enters the control area.
