Physical Buttons and Ports

• Power Button: Located on the bottom/side, used to turn the device on/off or put it to sleep.
• USB-C Port: Located on the bottom, for charging and connecting to a computer.
• Page-Turn Buttons: Located on the right side of the device, used to navigate through pages in a book.

Setup

Initial Setup

1. Charge the Device: Connect the Tolino Vision 6 HD to a power source using the provided USB-C cable. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
2. Power On: Press and hold the power button until the screen activates.
3. Language Selection: Follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language.
4. Wi-Fi Connection: Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect to the internet. This is necessary for downloading books and software updates.
5. Tolino Account: Log in with your existing Tolino account or create a new one. This account manages your eBook library.

Charging the Battery

The Tolino Vision 6 HD eReader is equipped with a rechargeable battery. To charge, connect the USB-C cable to the device's port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. A full charge typically takes several hours. The battery indicator on the screen will show the current charge level.

Operating Instructions

Navigating the Interface

• Touchscreen: Tap to select items, swipe to turn pages or scroll through lists.
• Home Screen: Displays your most recently read books and access to your library, shop, and settings.
• Library: Access all your downloaded and cloud-stored eBooks.
• Shop: Browse and purchase new eBooks from the Tolino store.
• Settings: Customize display, network, and device preferences.

Reading eBooks

1. Opening a Book: Tap on a book cover in your library to open it.
2. Turning Pages: Tap the left or right side of the screen, or use the physical page-turn buttons.
3. Adjusting Text: Tap the center of the screen to bring up the reading menu. From here, you can adjust font size, font type, line spacing, and margins.
4. SmartLight: The integrated SmartLight automatically adjusts the color temperature of the front light from cool white to warm white, adapting to the time of day. You can also adjust it manually in the reading menu.

Library Management

• Downloading Books: Books purchased from the Tolino store or synced from your cloud library will automatically download when connected to Wi-Fi.
• Organizing: Create collections to organize your books.
• Deleting Books: Long-press on a book cover in your library to access options, including deleting the book from your device (it remains in your cloud library).

Connectivity

The Tolino Vision 6 HD supports WLAN connectivity for accessing the Tolino store, syncing your library, and receiving software updates.

• Wi-Fi: Enable or disable Wi-Fi in the settings menu.
• USB Connection: Connect the device to a computer via USB-C cable to transfer files directly. The device will appear as a removable storage device.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Device

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen and body of the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or solvents, as these can damage the screen or finish.

Storage
