Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the performance and safety of your range hood. It is recommended to have a qualified professional perform the installation.
Preparation
- Ensure the cabinet opening dimensions are appropriate for the 30-inch insert (18.5"D x 30"W x 13"H). Recommended cabinet cutout size: 28 1/2" x 17".
- Prepare wood blocking inside the cupboard bottom panel to secure the range hood.
- Ensure a power outlet (120V, 16 Amps, 60 Hz) is available within the cabinet space.

Ducting Options
Your MCBON range hood is convertible and can be installed as ducted or ductless.
- Ducted Installation: Connect the 6'' top round adapter and flexible ducting (included) to vent air outside. Secure all connections with aluminum foil tape.
- Ductless (Recirculating) Installation: Install the charcoal filters (included) onto the motor inside the hood. These filters purify the air before recirculating it back into the kitchen.

Operation
Your range hood offers multiple ways to control its functions:
- Touch Control: Use the digital display panel to select fan speeds (4 options), turn lights on/off, and activate the delayed shutdown timer.
- Gesture Sensing: Wave your hand in front of the dual infrared sensing area to power on/off, adjust fan speed, and control lighting without physical contact.
- Remote Control: Use the included remote control for convenient operation from a distance.

Maintenance
Cleaning Baffle Filters
The stainless steel baffle filters are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and prevents grease buildup.
- Turn off the range hood and disconnect power.
- Locate the latches on the baffle filters.
- Pull the latch to release the filter and carefully remove it.
- Place the filters in a dishwasher or wash by hand with warm, soapy water.

Replacing Charcoal Filters (Ductless Mode)
