5. Installation (Setup)

Important: Disconnect power at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.

  1. Power Disconnection: Turn off the main power supply to the heating system at your electrical panel.
  2. Mounting Location: Choose an indoor wall location away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources that could affect temperature readings.
  3. Wiring: Connect the thermostat wires according to the wiring diagram provided with your heating system and the thermostat's specific terminals. Ensure proper connection for 120V or 240V systems. The in-floor sensor wires should also be connected to the designated sensor terminals.
  4. Mounting: Secure the thermostat to the wall using the provided mounting screws.
  5. Power Restoration: Once all connections are secure and the thermostat is mounted, restore power at the circuit breaker.
  6. Initial Setup: Upon first power-up, the thermostat may prompt you to set the current time, day, and temperature unit (°F/°C). Follow the on-screen instructions using the Up, Down, and OK buttons.

Turning On/Off:

Press the Power Button (⏻) to turn the thermostat on or off.

Adjusting Temperature:

In normal operating mode, use the Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons to adjust the desired set temperature. The new set temperature will be displayed, and the system will adjust accordingly.

Selecting Operating Mode:

The thermostat typically operates in an automatic (AUTO) mode based on its programming. Refer to the programming section for details on how to override or modify this mode temporarily or permanently.

The Advanced Programmable Thermostat allows you to create a customized heating schedule for energy efficiency and comfort.

Setting Time and Day:

  1. Press and hold the OK button for a few seconds to enter the menu.
  2. Navigate using Up (▲) or Down (▼) to find the "Time/Date" or "Clock" setting. Press OK.
  3. Adjust the hour, minute, and day using Up (▲) or Down (▼), confirming each setting with OK.
  4. Exit the menu by navigating to "Exit" or by waiting for the thermostat to return to the main screen automatically.

Creating a Heating Schedule:

  1. Press and hold the OK button to enter the menu.
  2. Navigate to "Program" or "Schedule" and press OK.
  3. Select the day or group of days you wish to program (e.g., Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun, or individual days). Press OK.
  4. For each time period (e.g., Wake, Leave, Return, Sleep), set the desired start time and temperature using Up (▲), Down (▼), and OK.
  5. Repeat for all desired time periods and days.
  6. Save and exit the programming menu.
