Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to prepare and install your new LUXRILIX OB03 water filter:

Soak Filter: Soak the filter upright in cold water for 15 minutes. This primes the filter and helps remove any loose carbon dust.
Rinse Filter: Rinse the filter under cold, running tap water for a few seconds. It is normal for some carbon dust to appear in the first fillings.
Insert into Reservoir: Carefully insert the filter into the pitcher or dispenser reservoir. Align the groove in the filter with the notch in the reservoir.
Secure Fit: Press firmly to ensure a tight seal. A proper seal is crucial for effective filtration.
Initial Discard: Discard the first 1 liter of filtered water. This ensures any remaining carbon dust is flushed out.

Note: It is important that the bottom of the filter remains in contact with filtered water to prevent it from drying out. If the filter dries out, re-soak it for 15 minutes before re-installing.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the LUXRILIX OB03 filter operates automatically as water passes through it. Simply fill your compatible pitcher or dispenser with tap water, and the filter will begin the purification process. Enjoy fresh, filtered water for drinking and cooking.

For optimal performance and water quality, regular filter replacement is essential. The LUXRILIX OB03 filter should be replaced after filtering 40 gallons (approximately 151 liters) of water. For an average family, this typically translates to a replacement schedule of about every 2 months.

Adhering to the recommended replacement schedule ensures consistent filtration and the best possible taste from your water.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your LUXRILIX OB03 water filter, please refer to the following common scenarios:

Unpleasant Taste or Odor: If the filtered water develops an unpleasant taste or odor, it may indicate that the filter has reached the end of its lifespan or was not properly primed. Replace the filter if it's past its recommended usage, or re-soak and re-install if it's new.
Slow Filtration: A significantly slower filtration rate can also signal that the filter is clogged with impurities and needs replacement.
Black Carbon Dust in Water: It is normal for some carbon dust to appear in the first few fillings after a new filter installation. This is harmless. Simply discard the first 1 liter of water as instructed in the setup guide. If it persists beyond initial uses, ensure the filter is properly seated.
