4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation:

  • Left Click: Primary button for selecting items and interacting with software.
  • Right Click: Secondary button for context menus and additional options.
  • Scroll Wheel: Roll up or down to scroll through documents and web pages. The scroll wheel also functions as a clickable middle button.

4.2 DPI Adjustment:

The D-09 mouse features a dedicated DPI button located behind the scroll wheel. Press this button to cycle through five different DPI (Dots Per Inch) sensitivity levels: 800, 1200, 1600, 2000, and 2400 DPI. A higher DPI setting results in faster cursor movement across the screen, requiring less physical mouse movement.

4.3 Side Buttons (Forward/Backward):

The two buttons located on the side of the mouse (typically on the left for right-handed use) function as 'Forward' and 'Backward' buttons. These are commonly used for navigating web pages or folders. Please note that these side buttons are unavailable for Mac OS.

4.4 Auto-Sleep Function:

To conserve battery life, the D-09 mouse will automatically enter a sleep mode after 8 minutes of inactivity. To wake the mouse, simply click any button. Movement alone will not wake the mouse from sleep.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement:

When the mouse performance degrades or stops responding, it may be time to replace the battery. Follow the steps in Section 3.2 to replace the AA battery. Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

5.2 Cleaning:

To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean your mouse. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
