2. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps for initial setup and preparation of your portable toilet.
- Separate Tanks: Ensure the slide valve is closed. Press the tank button to separate the upper freshwater tank from the lower waste-water tank.
- Fill Freshwater Tank: Open the water inlet cap on the freshwater tank. Pour clean water into the tank. You may add a small amount of portable toilet chemical (not included) to the freshwater tank if desired, following the chemical manufacturer's instructions. Securely close the cap.
- Add Detergent/Paper: Utilize the integrated paper towel collection and detergent compartment on the clean water tank for convenience.
- Reassemble: Align the freshwater tank with the waste-water tank and press down firmly until they lock securely in place.

3. Operating Instructions
Using your YITAHOME Portable Toilet is straightforward.
- Before Use: Pull the slide valve handle to open the waste tank, ensuring the opening is clear.
- Flushing: After use, push the handle pump down several times to flush the bowl. The double water outlets ensure effective and comprehensive cleaning.
- After Flushing: Push the slide valve handle back in to close the waste tank, preventing odors and leaks.
- Level Indicator: Monitor the level indicator on the waste-water tank. When the proportion of the red area is over 2/3, it's time to empty the tank.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and hygienic operation of your portable toilet.
- Emptying the Waste Tank:
- Ensure the slide valve is closed.
- Separate the freshwater tank from the waste-water tank.
- Carry the waste-water tank using its built-in handle to a suitable disposal site (e.g., RV dump station, standard toilet).
- Press the air release valve to prevent splashing during emptying.
- Rotate the pouring spout outwards and empty the contents. The long spout design allows for smooth, splash-free pouring.
- Cleaning: After emptying, rinse the waste-water tank thoroughly with clean water. You can use a mild detergent or specialized toilet cleaner (stored in the detergent compartment) to clean the interior.
- Storage: For long-term storage, ensure both tanks are completely empty and dry. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

5. Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
- Leakage: Ensure all caps and the slide valve are securely closed. Check the O-rings for proper seating and any signs of wear or damage. Replace O-rings if necessary.
- Odor Issues: Ensure the slide valve is fully closed after each use. Use appropriate portable toilet chemicals in the waste tank to break down waste and control odors. Clean the unit regularly and thoroughly.
- Flushing Issues (Weak Flush): Check if the freshwater tank has sufficient water. Ensure the handle pump is being operated with enough force and full strokes. Inspect the double water outlets for any blockages.
- Difficulty Separating Tanks: Ensure the slide valve is completely closed. Press the tank release button firmly. If the tanks are stuck, check for any debris or residue preventing separation.
