4. Setup and Installation

4.2 Pairing with a Zigbee Gateway (e.g., ConBee II)

1. Ensure your Zigbee gateway (e.g., ConBee II) is powered on and connected to your smart home system.
2. Place the Kobold Dimmer Actuator within range of your Zigbee gateway.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Dimming Control

• Via Smart Home App: Once paired, you can control the connected light's on/off state and dimming level directly from your Zigbee gateway's application.
• Via External Push-Button: If an external push-button is connected to the +A1 and -A2 terminals, a short press will toggle the light on/off. A long press will initiate dimming: holding the button will cycle the brightness up or down. Releasing and pressing again will reverse the dimming direction.

5.2 Adjusting Minimum Brightness

To prevent flickering with certain dimmable light sources, the Kobold Dimmer Actuator allows for adjustment of the minimum brightness level. This can typically be done through your Zigbee gateway's software or by using the 'Set Min' button on the device itself. Consult your gateway's documentation for specific software instructions.

To adjust manually:

1. Ensure the light is on and dimmed to its lowest setting.
2. Press and hold the 'Set Min' button on the device. The light will start to slowly increase in brightness.
3. Release the 'Set Min' button when the desired minimum brightness is reached and stable (no flickering).
4. The new minimum brightness is now saved.
