8. Troubleshooting

  • No Video Signal:
    • Ensure all cables (HDMI/SDI) are securely connected to both the camera, transmitter, receiver, and monitor.
    • Verify that the camera is outputting a video signal and is powered on.
    • Check the channel selection on both TX and RX units. Try switching to AUTO mode or manually selecting a different channel.
    • Confirm that the TX unit's loopout function only works when the input is from the SDI port, not HDMI.
  • Flickering or Unstable Video:
    • This may indicate interference. Ensure both units are in AUTO channel selection mode to utilize Adaptive Frequency Hopping.
    • Reduce the distance between the transmitter and receiver, or ensure there are no major obstructions.
    • Check for other 5GHz wireless devices in the vicinity that might be causing interference.
  • UVC Live Stream Not Working:
    • Ensure the USB-C cable is connected from the RX unit to your computer.
    • Verify that the RX unit is receiving a video signal from the camera. The UVC function requires an active video input.
    • Some USB-C to USB-C cables may not provide sufficient power or data stability. If experiencing issues, try using a USB-A to USB-C cable with the provided Type-C converter.
    • Check your computer's privacy settings to ensure the application (e.g., OBS, Zoom) has permission to access the camera/video input.
  • Short Battery Life:
    • Ensure you are using fully charged L-series batteries.
    • Consider using DC power for longer sessions to conserve battery life.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the units. Avoid liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the system in its hard plastic case in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the Hollyland official website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
