4. Setup and Operation

Getting Started:

1. Ensure your hair is clean, dry, and free of tangles.
2. Plug the appliance into a suitable electrical outlet. The appliance is dual voltage and will automatically adjust.
3. Press and hold the power button to turn on the flat iron.
4. Select your desired temperature using the power button. Each press cycles through the 5 temperature settings (290°F, 330°F, 370°F, 410°F, 450°F). The indicator lights will show the selected temperature.
5. Allow approximately 30 seconds for the flat iron to reach the set temperature.

Operating Instructions:

Always wear the provided heat-resistant glove to protect your hand during styling.

For Straightening:

1. Section your hair into manageable portions using the salon hair clips.
2. Take a small section of hair (about 1-2 inches wide) and place it between the heating plates, close to the roots.
3. Gently clamp the plates together and glide the flat iron slowly and steadily down the hair section, from roots to ends.
4. Repeat until the section is smooth and straight.
5. Continue with the remaining sections of hair.

For Curling:

1. Section your hair into manageable portions.
2. Take a small section of hair and clamp the flat iron near the roots.
3. Rotate the flat iron 180 degrees (half turn) away from your face.
4. Slowly glide the flat iron down the hair shaft, maintaining the rotation. The hair will wrap around the barrel of the iron.
5. Release the hair when you reach the ends.
6. For looser waves, gently pull on the curl while it's still warm. For tighter curls, allow it to cool completely before touching.
