WAITCOOK Replacement Meat Temperature Probe User Manual

Model: CR-Meat Probe 2

Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the WAITCOOK Replacement Meat Temperature Probe, designed for use with Cuisinart, Oklahoma Joe's, and Z Grills wood pellet grills and smokers. This 2-pack of meat food probes ensures accurate temperature monitoring for various cooking applications.

The package includes two meat probe sensors and two clip holders, featuring a 7-inch probe length, a 4-foot long wire, and a 3.5mm plug for compatibility.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up and install your WAITCOOK meat temperature probes:

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove the two meat probe sensors and two clip holders from the packaging.
  2. Inspect Probes: Before first use, inspect each probe and its wire for any visible damage. Ensure the 3.5mm plug is clean and free of debris.
  3. Attach Clip Holder (Optional): If desired, slide a clip holder onto the probe wire. The clip holder can be used to secure the probe to a grill grate, keeping it stable during cooking.
  4. Connect to Grill/Smoker: Insert the 3.5mm plug of the probe into the designated probe port on your compatible Cuisinart, Oklahoma Joe's, or Z Grills wood pellet grill or smoker. Ensure a secure connection.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the probes are ready for use to monitor the internal temperature of your food:

  1. Insert Probe into Food: Carefully insert the pointed end of the probe into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones. Ensure the probe tip is fully embedded in the food for accurate readings.
  2. Monitor Temperature: Your grill or smoker's display will show the internal temperature of the food as measured by the probe. Refer to your grill's specific manual for details on reading and setting target temperatures.
  3. Compatibility: These probes are compatible with various models, including Cuisinart GAS0356AS/ASO, SMK0036AS/ASO, SMK1021ASO, SMK2036AS, CPG-700_1, CPG-465_1, CPG-256_1. They also fit Oklahoma Joe's Rider 600/900 Pellet Grill and Rider DLX 900/1200 Pellet Grill, as well as Z Grills and Blaz'n Grills (except certain pellet grill models).

Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity and accuracy of your meat probes:

  • Cleaning: After each use, allow the probe to cool. Wipe the probe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid immersing the entire probe or its wire connection in water. The probe tip is easy to clean.
  • Storage: Store the probes in a clean, dry place when not in use. Avoid kinking or sharply bending the wire.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your meat temperature probe, consider the following:

  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Ensure the probe is fully inserted into the thickest part of the meat, away from bones.
    • Verify the probe is securely plugged into the grill's port.
    • Check for any visible damage to the probe wire or connector.
  • Probe Not Detected:
    • Confirm the probe is fully inserted into the grill's port.
    • Try using the second probe to determine if the issue is with a specific probe or the grill port.
    • Consult your grill's user manual for specific probe detection instructions.
