1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing VLAND LED Tail Lights. This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your new tail light assemblies. These lights are designed as a direct replacement for Ford Mustang models manufactured between 2010 and 2012, including Base, Boss 302, GT, AV-X10, Shelby GT500, Boss 302R, V6, and Cobra jet variants.

Please read this manual thoroughly before installation to ensure correct procedure and optimal performance.

2. Safety Information

• Always disconnect the vehicle's battery before performing any electrical work to prevent electrical shock or damage to the vehicle's electrical system.

These VLAND LED Tail Lights are designed for direct OEM fitment, requiring no vehicle modifications for installation. They are a plug-and-play solution.

5.1 Pre-Installation Check

• Verify that the tail lights are compatible with your Ford Mustang model year (2010-2012).
• Inspect both tail light assemblies for any signs of damage before beginning installation.
• Ensure all necessary tools are available (e.g., screwdriver, socket wrench set).

5.2 Installation Steps

1. Disconnect Battery: For safety, disconnect the negative terminal of your vehicle's battery.
2. Access Existing Tail Lights: Open the trunk and locate the access panels or trim that cover the back of the tail light assemblies. Remove these panels.
3. Remove Fasteners: Identify and remove the screws or nuts securing the factory tail light assembly to the vehicle body. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for exact fastener locations.
4. Disconnect Wiring: Carefully pull the factory tail light assembly away from the vehicle. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) by pressing the release tab and pulling apart.
5. Install VLAND Tail Lights: Connect the wiring harness of the new VLAND LED Tail Light assembly to the vehicle's factory connector. Ensure a secure connection.
6. Secure New Assembly: Position the new VLAND LED Tail Light assembly into the vehicle's opening. Reinstall the screws or nuts removed in step 3 to secure the new light.
7. Repeat for Other Side: Perform the same steps for the opposite side tail light.
8. Reconnect Battery: Once both tail lights are securely installed and wired, reconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
9. Test Functionality: Turn on your vehicle and test all lighting functions: DRL, parking lights, brake lights, turn signals (left and right), and reverse lights.

6.1 Lighting Modes

• Daytime Running Light (DRL) with Breathing Light: Activates with the vehicle's DRL system, featuring a dynamic breathing effect upon startup.
• Red Turn Signal (3 Lighting Modes): Engages when the turn signal is activated, offering three distinct red light patterns.
• Amber Turn Signal (2 Lighting Modes): Features a sequential amber indicator for clear signaling.
• Brake Light: Illuminates brightly when the brake pedal is pressed, with two distinct modes (Flash Mode and Normal Mode).
• Reverse Light: Provides bright white illumination when the vehicle is in reverse.

VLAND LED Tail Lights are designed for durability and minimal maintenance.

7.1 Cleaning

• Clean the lens with a soft cloth and mild automotive cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the polycarbonate lens.
• Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots.

The tail lights are built with:
