Setup

Refilling Ballpoint Pen Cartridges

1. Gently twist the barrel of the pen counter-clockwise to separate the upper and lower sections.
2. Carefully remove the empty D1-size ballpoint refill.
3. Insert a new D1-size ballpoint refill into the designated slot. Ensure it is seated correctly.
4. Align the upper and lower sections and twist clockwise to secure the pen.

Refilling Mechanical Pencil Lead

1. Remove the eraser cap from the top of the pencil.
2. Carefully pull out the small eraser.
3. Insert 0.5mm lead refills into the opening. Do not overfill.
4. Replace the eraser and the eraser cap.

Operating Instructions

Switching Between Writing Modes

The Rotring 600 3-in-1 features a convenient twist-and-click mechanism to select your desired writing mode:

1. Hold the pen with the desired mode indicator (e.g., red dot for red ink, black dot for black ink, or 0.5 for pencil) facing upwards.
2. Twist the knurled top section of the barrel to extend the writing tip.
3. To retract the tip, twist the knurled top section in the opposite direction until the tip is fully withdrawn.
