1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your HOTLIFE iPad Keyboard Case. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
1.1 Compatibility
This keyboard case is designed for the following iPad 10.2-inch models:
- iPad 9th Generation 2021: Model Numbers A2603, A2604, A2605
- iPad 8th Generation 2020: Model Numbers A2270, A2428, A2429
- iPad 7th Generation 2019: Model Numbers A2197, A2200, A2198
Please verify your iPad model number on the back of your device before installation.

2. Package Contents
Upon opening the package, ensure all items are present:
- 1 x HOTLIFE iPad Keyboard Case
- 1 x Micro USB Charging Cable
- 1 x User Manual (this document)
3. Setup
3.1 Installing Your iPad
Carefully align your iPad with the protective case. Press gently around the edges until the iPad is securely seated within the case. Ensure all ports and buttons are accessible.

3.2 Bluetooth Connection
- Ensure the keyboard is charged (refer to Section 3.3).
- Turn on the keyboard by sliding the power switch to the "ON" position. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash.
- On your iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
- Turn on Bluetooth. Your iPad will search for discoverable devices.
- Select "Bluetooth Keyboard" (or similar name) from the list of devices.
- If prompted, enter the pairing code displayed on your iPad screen using the keyboard, then press Enter.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light on the keyboard will turn off.

3.3 Charging the Keyboard
Connect the provided Micro USB charging cable to the keyboard's charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Keyboard Functions
The keyboard features a standard QWERTY layout with a full row of iPadOS shortcuts for enhanced productivity.
- Function Keys: Access common iPad functions like Home, Search, Volume, and Media Controls.
- Typing: Provides a comfortable and responsive typing experience.

4.2 Multi-Touch Trackpad
The integrated trackpad supports various multi-touch gestures for seamless navigation, similar to a laptop.
- Single Finger Tap: Click/Select
- Two Finger Scroll: Scroll up/down or left/right
- Pinch to Zoom: Zoom in/out on content
- Swipe Gestures: Navigate between apps or access the Dock (refer to iPadOS gestures for full functionality).

4.3 Backlight Control
The keyboard features 10-color backlighting with 3 brightness modes. Use the dedicated backlight key (often represented by a light bulb icon) to cycle through colors and adjust brightness levels.

4.4 360° Rotatable Design
The case allows for 360-degree rotation and 180-degree flip of your iPad, enabling multiple viewing angles and transforming your iPad into a mini-laptop or a tablet with keyboard folded back.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To clean the keyboard case, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For the keyboard keys, a soft brush or compressed air can remove dust and debris.
5.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, fully charge the keyboard and store it in a cool, dry place. It is recommended to turn off the keyboard to conserve battery life.
5.3 Pencil Holder
The case includes a dedicated holder for your Apple Pencil or compatible stylus, ensuring it is secure and readily available.

6. Troubleshooting
