4. Installation
The Kwikset 914 SmartCode deadbolt is designed for easy installation with a screwdriver. It fits standard doors between 1-3/8 inches and 1-3/4 inches thick.
- Prepare the Door: Ensure your door is properly prepped with a 2-1/8 inch cross bore and a 1 inch edge bore. Adjust the latch backset if necessary (2-3/8 inches or 2-3/4 inches).

5. Setup
5.1 Programming User Codes

- Add a User Code: Press the Program button on the interior assembly once. Enter a new 4-8 digit user code on the keypad. Press the Lock button. If successful, the keypad will flash green and beep once.
- Delete a User Code: Press the Program button twice. Enter the user code you wish to delete. Press the Lock button. If successful, the keypad will flash green and beep once.
- Delete All User Codes: Press the Program button three times. Press the Lock button. All user codes will be deleted.

- Initiate the device discovery mode on your ZigBee hub or panel.

6. Operating Instructions
