Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven with Grill, refer to the common problems and solutions below.
- Appliance does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the On/Oven Timer Dial is set to a cooking time and not "Off".
- Food is not cooking evenly: Ensure food is spread in a single layer in the air fry basket or on the baking pan. For larger batches, cook in multiple smaller batches. Rotate the food or tray halfway through cooking.
- Air fried food is not crispy: Ensure the air fry basket is not overloaded. Use a small amount of oil if desired, and ensure food is cut into uniform pieces. Preheating the oven is also crucial for optimal crispiness.
- Excessive smoke: This may be due to food residue or grease buildup. Ensure the crumb tray and interior are clean. If cooking fatty foods, use the baking pan as a drip tray.
- Timer not working: Ensure the timer dial is turned past the 10-minute mark to activate the timer mechanism.
